Our information stand is all set up in the Impact Tent ready for tonight’s Sleep in the Park event at Duthie Park. Some of our team having been getting their sleeping bags ready too! Aberdeen Cyrenians is part of the Housing First Consortium in Aberdeen which benefitted from the proceeds of Social Bite’s event last year in Edinburgh. Ashleigh, one of our supporters in Buckie has been promoting our Christmas Appeal in the town, collecting a huge amount of donations. The P5/6LR class at Millbank Primary School have got involved too and delivered 25 shoeboxes to Ashleigh yesterday! It looks like she is going to need a lorry soon to get everything to us! Massive thank you to the school and everyone else in the Buckie area who are supporting the appeal.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to our Christmas Appeal so far - we are so very grateful for the support and it all makes a huge difference to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in our community. This afternoon our volunteer co-ordinators, Sarah and Chloe, went to Sainsbury's Garthdee to collect the donations given so far to the store's donation drive. It's continuing until 9 December so still time to donate! Thank you to everyone at Sainsbury's.

We are super grateful to the team at the store who have given them pride of place to collect as much as possible for people who are affected by homelessness this Christmas. You can drop off toiletries, clothing and food which will all make a huge difference to the lives of many people in the city. Thank you!

For the first time ever members of Aberdeen Cyrenians' Music Group will be performing in public! Both our Street Alternatives and Wernham House music groups will come together to sing at this special concert. The Credo Men's Choir will also be performing.
The evening will be a selection of festive and non-festive songs. It is a free event but any donations on the evening will go to Aberdeen Cyrenians.
Teas and Coffees will be served at the end.

Good luck to the 'Alford Mini Fundraisers' who are doing a sponsored swim this morning. Coben and eleven friends aged between 7 1/2 and 11 years old have chosen to raise money for people who are homeless by swimming as many lengths as they can. Aberdeen Cyrenians started in the autumn of 1968 as a soup kitchen ran by students, providing basic hot food to Aberdeen’s vulnerable and homeless.
50 years later, we still do this – providing hot meals four times a week through our Street Alternatives project.
From now until Tuesday 4 December at midday we're aiming to raise £50,000 to support the project which also provides shower and laundry facilities along with advice and support.
