Stability and Ballast Control & Jack Ups ASET has been providing courses in Semi-Submersible Stabil...ity and Ballast control for many years and has a brand new and one of the world’s most advanced Jack Up & Ballast Control simulators. This simulator provides realistic movement and reaction in relation to changes in sea-state, weight loading and also changes in the mooring pattern. ASET’s Ballast Control Simulator comprises of: • Electrically Powered Tilting Table • Operating consoles complete with mimic board and computer interface • Computer with highly advanced simulation software. Stability Courses are accredited under the IADC Drilling Industry Training scheme and follow the ‘IMO Resolution A1079(28)’ for the training of MOU operators. Marine Operations of Self Elevating Platforms (Jack-Up) Utilises a dynamic simulator in a similar way to the Ballast control. Once again, this training is unique and allows delegates to experience failure modes such as ‘punch-through’. The simulator is capable of three and four leg Jack Up simulation.
