Michelle from Raphael Weddings shares with us her favourite recipe using our delicious Barra Berries. 🍓
"Nigella's Chocolate and Raspberry Pavlova is the perfect dessert for dinner with friends or a family BBQ. You can if you wish use strawberries and raspberries instead of just raspberries. Whatever you choose, it will be scrumptious!"

This delicious deli salad comes from the chefs at the Kilted Frog Delicatessen, Inverurie.
Prosciutto, asparagus and pine nut salad 🥗
Get a grill pan really hot.... Toast a handful of pine nuts with coarse sea salt and pepper on the pan and remove. Brush asparagus with oil and place on the hot grill. Grill until lightly tender. Take asparagus off and place to side. Put on spinach and cook for 1 minute on grill until wilted Remove spinach to side. Grill some slices of prosciutto ham on the hot pan and then add spinach and asparagus on top. Serve on a board and drizzle over a little balsamic and sprinkle over the pine nuts. Accompany with fresh crusty bread and hollandaise sauce.
With our 'Asparagus Month' at an end, it doesn't mean you can't still be creating these tasty asparagus recipes at home! We hope you loved making these dishes, and carry on being inspired to use local produce.
Also another reminder that we are harvesting! If you fancy some of Barra 'tips' please get in touch! ☺️Remember to use the #BarraProduce so we can see your creations.

Went for afternoon tea today which I understand is a new venture for the shop. Served by Dougie and he was brilliant!! So so friendly, informative and an excellent host. Having been at many places in the north east for afternoon tea we can genuinely place it to the top of the ranks with other well known establishments. The fresh strawberries mixed into the afternoon tea are a superb addition. The fine pieces were locally made and decadent, the sandwiches and warm pastries were INCREDIBLE. the array of treats available was a brilliant mix and we loved every minute and every bite. Thanks dougie. And thanks everyone at Barra. 100% be back!! Xxxx

User

Superb farm grown fruit mixed into great ice cream. What could be better on a hot sunny day. One of us had raspberry, the other had bramble (known in England as blackberry).

User

Nice friendly service. Coffee, ice cream and fruit all beautiful.

2 lattes, tub of blackberries, tub of raspberries and a raspberry cone £8! Superb

User

First time at ''Barra Berries' and had the most fantastic afternoon tea with friends. Amazing home cooked savouries and mouth watering cakes and lots of lovely fresh strawberries.... We didn't have room for the cakes so have taken them home for later! Really lovely staff - especially Dougie who looked after us.

Would highly recommend and will be back again!

Best strawberries around! Ice cream is amazing and staff were all lovely. Only thing is the ice creams get taken over all at different times, bit of await between them

User

Been a few times ice cream cones are lovely . Like the new flavour honey berry with the strawberry raspberry and blackberry .only small amount of vanilla no need for complaints. Paper cups paper plates dont see why that is a problem . We will be back many times over the summer

User

We enjoyed our recent experience at Barra. The only challenge with 3 moms and 3 babies was that there was only 1 high chair in the entire place. So, we took turns between 2 of them and kept the other in her car seat. It would be ideal if they would consider adding a few more high chairs to make it more baby-friendly. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

Was a bit of a queue, but it was a Sunday and very warm. Got a number and had to wait till kids came and called you (not very loudly) ice cream was good , freshly made for each vine, but it did cost £2.80 , strawberries taste lovely.

User

Berries are fantastic..

However we ordered 2 raspberry, 2 strawberry and 1 vanilla ice cream with 2 coffees... (not that confusing). The order came out one item at a time spaced out over 20 minutes.. the young boy taking out the items had no idea what kind of ice cream it was and we eventually ended up with the wrong order. Still waiting for one ice cream 20 minutes later had to ask again for it. Lovely berries and staff were very polite but it was just chaotic.
