Beach Ballistic Description
BEACH BALLISTIC IS AN OCR EVENT ORGANISED AND OPERATED BY MILITARY FITNESS TRAINING AND IS SCOTLAND'S ONLY BEACH-BASED OCR COURSE.
Set on the vast grounds of Balmedie Country Park in Aberdeenshire, Balmedie Beach is the location for our Ultra Beach 32k, 16k OCR event and 8k shorter run, becoming the only Scottish OCR European Championship Qualifying Beach Obstacle Course
OCR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE DONE IN AGE CATEGORIES FOR THE ULTRA BEACH 32k AND ELETE 16k

SAT 1st AUG
32k Ultra Beach: OCR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION COURSE:
This race is timed with exercise penalties. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, along with free entry to 2019 race, you also get Ultra Beach Medal pin.
SAT 1st AUG
16k Elite Race OCR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION COURSE
This race is timed with exercise penalties.
16k Main Race NONE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION COURSE
This race is timed with no exercise penalties.
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, along with free entry to 2019 race, you also get 16k Medal pin.
SUN 2nd AUG
8k Course: 1
All competitors will receive a Beach Ballistic medal, t-shirt and goodie bag for taking part.

We also have a special deal for those who are looking to compete on one of the days, but are willing to help out on the other; the first 50 competitors who volunteer will get 50% of their ticket price refunded in addition to the usual volunteer perks.

Competitors can also take advantage of free camping over the weekend (Fri 31st July – Sun 2nd Aug). Or if you don’t fancy roughing it, we can offer discounts on accommodation.

Would like to thank the organisers for today, was a great event a lot of tough challenges ,I've never done this kind of thing before but will definitely be back next year, first class event and will be recommending to others!!
What a fantastic event! A lot tougher than expected, well done to the military fitness training team for setting up such a great OCR course ...even managed to get lost for 10 minutes �
I will definitely be coming back next year with the aim to not get lost and to beat my 2 older brothers this time!!!

For their first event it was great! As ever small teething problems, but I've done many established races by big names that aren't perfect so they in no way at all detract from what a great race it was! Brilliant setting, some tough little climbs up the dunes, which also made for some unique obstacles. All in all brilliant, and great value too, definitely be back to the next one! Especially as living in Elgin it was as local a race as I get and didn't involve flights or hours and hours driving!! We'll done to the whole team at Beach Ballistic! Enjoy a well deserved drink later!
Edit- Also great for spectators! No hiking miles and miles through muddy fields, and good food and drink in the start/finish area which is also close to the car parks.
Brilliantly tough course. As ever with a brand new event, some very minor teething problems. Course marking was one, a few got lost (myself included) and obstacle penalties for bypassing if there is too large of a queue. Some time lost on these 2 things, but all in all, a superb OCR Event. Massive well done to Military Fitness Training for organising everything. I'm sure next year's event will be huge �
Brilliant setting, great course, plenty of challenges and lots of fab goodies after the finish line. As mentioned a few navigation teething problems but it's got all the ingredients to be a top event- looking forward to next year
Brilliant race, a bit different from the usual (sand feels harder to run on but so much easier to clean off than mud), got a wee bit lost and missed out a km or so, but that could happen anywhere with me haha! Some fab obstacles that I hadn't seen before, great use of the awesome surroundings. Really enjoyed the water parts to cool down. Most importantly, everyone involved was so cheerful and friendly, we had a great wee night camping afterwards with some lovely folks by the gazebo with tunes, booze & blether around the fire. Well done folks, can't wait for the next one! xXx

Absolutely brilliant ,Course challenging from the natural terrain to the obstacles which made it something very different to other events,apart from very small teething problems (to be expected on first event) enjoyed every minute well done guys.👍
Really tough course...little late start but great effort for first time event.
It had been great course over all. However few things to imrpove: better way to mark the course, at one point we just got lost because there was no clear sign (even arrows pointing into the right direction would be perfect). Great laugh all the day round.
Some of the obscles I was expecting to be different such as the Trump's wall or oil spillage ��
Over all you all guys and ladies involved have completed great job.

Good to see and take part in a totally unique and different ocr today. Teething problems but I'm sure they will be rectified next year. Was a great location too!
Even though I almost got lost and am covered in bruises, I'd say it was a great success! Some minor teething problems, which are to be expected on the first one, but all things that can easily be improve for the next one. Well done to the Military Fitness Training team!! ��
