He was rescued via Give A Greyhound A Home last year, and has well and truly landed on his feet. Rescue dogs really are the best!

With regret we are no longer accepting bookings via Booking.com.
Whilst we clearly said we will honour any future bookings with them, they've responded to say they will relocate our future guests. If this happens to you we can only apologise on their behalf as that was never our intention.
Whilst they can afford a prime time television ad, we have not yet been paid for guests who stayed at the beginning of June and beyond - as a small business we cannot operate that way.

Our friends at Moray Dog Trails & Tails were at the Paddock today as usual... we loved how beautiful Tiffy kept cool! Other water buckets were available!!!

We stayed at the bothy for 2 weeks last September and had a lovely time.

The bothy is small but surprisingly spacious due to the layout, plenty of room for our 2 dogs and us. Well equipped cottage and Steph & Ted were amazingly helpful/supportive in our hours of need (poorly doggy. )

The paddock is great, 100% secure and has undercover shelter, should the Scottish weather let you down!

If only it were closer to us, we'd return again and again...

We have used the dog paddock a couple of times now its absolutely brilliant for our dogs they can all get off the lead they love every minute

We had a wonderful few days here! The bothy was perfect for us. It was really homely, warm & comfortable, had everything you could need - our greyhound Oliver especially loved the amazing paddock. Steph & Ted were very welcoming and I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a fantastic few days here with Flo and Kai who loved the paddock, especially Kai who had lots of space to play with his football!! The Bothy was well equipped, clean and comfy. Ted was very friendly and offered suggestions on where to eat and visit. We had a lovely meal at the Cock and Bull at Balmedie, which is dog friendly, even offering a doggie menu! We also found another dog friendly place to eat which was the Bognie Arms Hotel, Forgue, Huntly. All in all a great place to stay.

Such a lovely place �! Amazing rural setting, nice and secluded. The paddock is FANTASTIC for the dogs, my greyhound loved it! So nice to see him off lead and exploring/zooming, knowing he is completely secure and safe! Definitely recommend it for anyone, with greys or any other doggies ��

Stayed with my friend and our 8 dogs between us, it was fantastic! The dog paddock is amazing, we used it twice a day and the dogs have never had so much fun in their lives! Such a beautiful setting, we had a relaxing time, guilt-free, seeing our tired, happy pups :)

Myself, my husband, and (most importantly) our greyhound had a fantastic couple of days at Beggshill Bothy. The cottage is beautiful and really well equipped - it has everything that you need for humans and hounds. It's handy for the lovely town of Huntly, and is a great base for exploring the area. The dog paddock is fantastic - ideal for anyone whose furry friends don't usually get the chance to be off the lead as it is completely enclosed and safe for hounds to ramble around.

Just home after a wonderful stay at the bothy, excellent facilities and brilliant owners, nothing was too much trouble. We have 9 dogs and they loved it, the exercise field was amazing and we have some very tired doglets now lol. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone x

Had a fantastic week at the Bothy along with our 6 Beagles. Everything that we needed was there and more. The dogs loved the field and the fact that it was there was great for us as 6 Beagles off lead tend to hunt as a pack - the only thing that they could hunt there was tennis balls! A great base for exploring the countryside and there are also some amazing beaches not too far away - our favourite was Cullen - lots of great sand for them to run on. We will return to explore tha area more.
