Calling all mountain bikers! Did you know our motorhome has a garage? It is also equipped with a bike rack on the back which can carry 4 bikes but for added security or if you just have a lot of stuff there is a very spacious garage. It even has an outdoor shower attachment for cleaning off muddy bikes/bodies!

It’s been a very successful summer for us at CMM with Larry enjoying several long vacations all over Scotland. Feedback on the motorhome has been universally positive and we love hearing all about the adventures which Larry allows folks to have!
We still have a couple of long weekend dates available for hire before we close down for the winter. If you fancy taking Larry away to have your own adventure then drop us a PM.

Larry went to Arran this weekend and it was awesome!
Arran is approx. 4.5-5hrs from CMM’s HQ in Aboyne and it is always worth the effort. The first ferry of the day leaves Ardrossan at 7am and it’s only a short 55min voyage across to the brand new ferry terminal in Brodick. 55mins was just long enough to grab a lovely cooked breakfast on the CalMac ferry before touching down on dryland. CalMac have dramatically reduced their fares in the past few years meaning that it’s never... been cheaper to get away to the islands for some exploration.
Brodick is the main town in Arran and it’s certainly a change of scenery from Aboyne with its palm trees and sandy beach. We drove over the hill towards Lamlash where we parked up and headed for a morning walk up to Clauchlands Point. Even at 9am in the morning the views all the way down the Clyde and then across to Holy Island and Pladda were pretty spectacular. The remainder of the morning was spent pottering about in Brodick; browsing the shops, playing on the swings and eating ice-cream!
We headed around the island to Whiting Bay where we stopped off at the fabulous Felicity’s for a lunch of fish n chips and cider! The afternoon was spent playing on the beach at Blackwaterfoot before heading to Bridgend Campsite near Shiskine for our overnight pitch. Bridgend is lovely. Its location near the west coast means that it is much quieter than the campsites on the east of the island which are a bit closer to the ferry. The facilities are great and the pitch locations are brilliant – each offering nice views over Machrie Moor (famed for having no less than 6 very impressive stone circles on it!). The sun was shining (but the midges were out!) when we arrived at Bridgend so once the Skin so Soft had been applied it was outside with a beer and a seat under the awning.
We said goodbye to Larry for a few hours as we took a taxi back into Brodick for our dinner. A very nice Scottish tapas at the Auchrannie Resort together with some cocktails was definitely what the doctor ordered! Next morning we all enjoyed a cosy long lie in Larry’s comfy beds before having some breakfast and driving over to the NTS’s Brodick Castle. A wee walk around the grounds and a play on the new adventure playground was just the job before heading back to the ferry terminal to await the homeward ferry.
A very short, but very enjoyable weekend exploring Arran in Larry the motorhome. We drove back up the road wondering where we would like to go to next…… Larry has already been to Northumbria and St Andrews this year and is heading off to Braemar and Dumfries over the next few weeks with some of our clients.
Where would you take Larry if you were to hire him out? Decisions decisions 🚐 😊 ☀️

Our lovely Motorhome has finally arrived. The beautiful Burstner Ixeo Time Sovereign i726g! We still have a few things left to do to her before she will be ready for hire - but having her onsite is a huge step forward for us. We hope you agree that she really is a stunning motorhome and we are sure that she will bring many happy memories for all that hire her. 🚌

User

So we finally have a delivery date for our new vehicle! End of the month it should be with us and we will then start to take bookings.
Sorry for anybody that has previously shown interest - it's a very special motorhome and has taken longer to come off the production line than expected - but it'll be brilliant when it arrives! 🚌
