Some of our fleet were kept very busy last week taking goods in and out of our Oldmeldrum Storage Depot. Trucks caught in action by Alan Shearer.

Busy week so far....

Our Inverness Depot have just put into service these 3 New Iveco Daily 3.5T Curtainside Vans. Initial reports from our drivers Billy, Alex and Craig are positive.

Due to fleet expansion in our Inverness Depot we are looking for additional Class 2 and 7.5t Drivers! Monday to Friday, basic hours 45 per week, overtime available! Weekly paid. Please PM or email gary@cll.uk.com with a CV.

Busy Times means that even the smallest vehicle based at our Inverness depot has to go out with deliveries. Wine to the West Coast HotShot Service!

I worked for Caledonian Logistics for little over a year and enjoyed my time working there. Great bunch of lads to work with and everyone puts in 110% effort. Always trying that little bit harder for their customers�

Can't fault the service. The drivers couldn't be more helpful and do their absolute best to get my pallet as near to my garage as possible. Top guys!

Brilliant service. Text advising of a two hour delivery time slot. Polite phone call half an hour before delivery. Help to carry my delivery into the garden. (That one wasn’t part of his remit but very much appreciated.)

After a rocky start yesterday with 3 pallets dumped in the middle of my drive I'm pleased to say that a very nice gent popped round tonight and moved them to a more sensible place.

Glad we got it resolved amicably.

Super-helpful drivers, as always, but they're badly let down by poor admin. After waiting at home two days for a delivery that never showed up, I posted a complaint on here. Ally got in touch immediately and arranged for two guys to go back into the depot this evening, find the item and deliver it. The poor guys had been at home and had just sat down to have their tea - but they were smiling when they arrived and helped get the heavy item into the house and up the stairs. Thanks very much for pulling out the stops - eventually!

No show on Friday. Took whole day off. They were supposed to phone with time for delivery and I ended up phoning them!!! To be told it will be with you soon - 3 times. However, Andy the manager went the extra mile today and delivered to us this morning on Sunday. Greatly appreciated 👍

Yet to receive my delivery and every time I call to find out what's going on I get the same response of " let me look in to that and give you a call back" yet to receive any call backs



Only good thing to say about them is that they were willing to out out a smaller truck to the collection point as requested

Very rude driver , when only delivering 1 tonne and no forklift I suggested throwing the 25kg bags off but he said no way he was too busy , total �

Utterly rotten company. They damaged an item of ours to beyond repairable condition. It's taken months to make the claim and only 1 tenth of the value has been offered stating 1998 R.H.A Conditions...which have been updated since then anyway.

The cheque has not arrived. Oh and get ready to email back and forward to Cyprus should you need to make a claim. Your cargo is barely covered in the event of damage or loss. £1300 per metric tonne or percentage thereof.

We highly regret using them.

Take a bow, Caledonian Logistics - even worse than Yodel. At least they deliver on the promised day, even if it is to the wrong house. You either spill the load all over the driveway, or fail to turn up at all. I'm giving you one star because it isn't possible to give none.

Shocking company and Terrible customer treatment. Gets 1 star because 0 stars not an option! I am now several x £1000’s out of pocket because of Caledonian Logistics failings.

Offered me and pallet shipment including full package protection for my product! This company shipped and damaged it without a care in the world.



Ops Director response “not our problem”!!

Met with MD who entertained me during our brief meeting if nothing else before offering a take it or leave it insulting final offer.



Failure to adhere to own process, procedures throughout and breached our agreement only to hide behind their basic Road Haulage Act T&Cs which wouldn’t even cover a Ton of Spuds!!



Avoid if shipping anything of any value!

Order was supposed to be delivered yesterday, waited in all day, still waiting today!

One of our new suppliers uses this company for deliveries. Currently we've had 3 deliveries done by them, every single one of them having problems.



1. The first delivery arrived completely wrecked, the total value was around £700. Fortunately the supplier offered to replace everything.



2. The second delivery came. The guy called us and said that it's nobody at home. It seemed that he was at the wrong address. He was also supposed to take the first items as well, he said that he can't because the office told him so. (Although on the invoice it was saying that he needs to take the old items as well)



3. We were supposed to get a parcel on a guaranteed date. It's true that I got a phone call that day saying that he is at the door. The idea is that we can't be all the time at home just for a parcel, you either wait 10-20 minutes, or arrange a different time. He said that he'll be back in one hour, but he wasn't. I waited for 3 hours for that parcel!

3 days later I called the company and they told me that the delivery drivers vans are not loaded, so she can't know what time the delivery guy will come.



4. In the afternoon I called them and they told me that without a tracking number can't find my parcel. This comes after in the morning they managed to do it just by using the address and postcode. She HANGED THE PHONE while I was talking.



We have a relatively high turnover and the new supplier seems alright. Every single time I'll put pressure on the supplier to use a different company for deliveries, maybe one day they'll lose the contract they have. This is best for all!

Horrid company, won't own up to their mistakes and the drivers can't get their story straight from one email to the next. DON'T USE THEM!
