Went to stay at the Copthorne on the 30th December with my husband, had a lovely stay and found that the bar staff were very friendly especially Will who was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Will defiantly come back again.

We have stayed in a few hotels in the past, but I can definitely say we would use you again and recommend you to all our friends. The service staff were great (big thanks for allowing us to get into our room early) after arriving on the overnight sleeper from London we needed to clean up and get ready for a charity event that started in a few hours. The room was faultless very clean and tidy every thing that you could need was there from a fridge , iron , tea and coffee and tv. Large comfortable bed it was spotless you even took the time to tell us about renovation work that was being done and that it should not effect our stay. The breakfast was the best that I had tasted in a long time at a hotel other than if I had cooked it myself. Again thank you for making our stay special.

The hotel itself was great, rooms comfortable & cosy. Fantastic service in both the bar & restaurant. Staff went out of there way at every opportunity to be helpful. Food was great & thoroughly enjoyed the meal at the Hogmanay Gala Ball. A huge thank you to all the staff who gave up their New Year’s Eve to ensure we had a fantastic night.



Looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Hotel has everything we need, a free park for the bikes and a lift to get our bike gear to the room, so good to not have to lug heavy bike gear up stairs

Great Hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to people visiting the city

Booked prosecco afternoon tea for 14 hen party guests. Staff were excellent, friendly, accommodating and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was delicious and so much of it!! No problem catering for those with specific dietary requirements, just let them know when booking. Would highly recommend paying a visit, you won't be disappointed. Thanks again for your great hospitality x

Absolutely fantastic night away last night with room service for breakfast. Reasonably priced and room was clean and well maintained. Staff very helpful never had an issue with anyone. Well done guys will certainly be back again in the near future and would book a club room next time.

Just had a two nights stay to visit friends the hotel is excellently located and is clean and tidy. The room we had was a little on the small side as was the bed but newly decorated and very clean. The room had all you would need tv kettle small fridge iron and board and hairdryer. There was a great selection for breakfast and a lovely spacious quiet room to eat in. We enjoyed and would definitely return under ground car park is very tight!!! Oh and in this warm weather complimentary bottles of water at reception...a God send.

A regular business visitor to this hotel, more like home from home feel. The hotel staff are friendly n efficient. The breakfast is full English and adequate. My regular room has been refurbished but can be quite warm at times. The hotel is centrally located n nearby plenty of nice restaurants around. It is also 5 minutes walk to Union Street.

A long established hotel which is trying hard to regain its former glory. New carpets fitted in many areas. But a few tired things still stop it getting 5 stars. One example is the sinks have lost their enamel surface in the gents toilet, but wouldn’t stop me going back as it was very comfortable and reasonably priced

The bed was small as a double but comfotable. Cracked tiles on bathroom floor unsightly. Overall room was good for price we paid. Disappointed we had to have cold showers as no hot water at all. We did report it to receptionist on leaving but she did not appear too interested in offering us any kind off sympathy or customer service regarding this. Good shower is a must when we book an hotel stay. Bar staff friendly at night and , sure it was a manager in morning after breakfast that was very friendly and chatty. Sausages at breakfast tasted off but rest good.

I was looking forward to Afternoon Tea at your hotel however I was very disappointed. The sandwiches were hard and your scones very dry. I will not be back.

Yesterday at the Fashion week: my Risotto was more like a dough! and my friend said her chicken dish, vegetables were cold! :/

Was their for dinner but food was absolutely shit never again my group moaned all day about it

Was not impressed with the experience, came for the 3 0clock sitting, felt we were rushed. Cold food buffet was fine, however had to ask for plates as there were none available. Hot food felt like it was sittImg there all day. No hot vegetarian option for my daughter so her xmas dinner consisted of potatoe, veg and a Yorkshire pudding. Felt like we were being rushed at the end as they were clearing up around us. The coffee at the end was cold and fermented obviously where it had sat in the flask all day. No atmosphere.

Very disappointed gone greatly down hill since we were last there 2 years ago.

The worst ever Christmas “ Bring a Party to a Party” experience . We won’t be back .... service was awful . We had to wait an hour and a half for our first drinks from the bar . Just not enough staff serving drinks as there was no table service . We were a fairly large group , and super organised with drinks lists etc which we offered in advance but were told it wasn’t possible to pre order drinks ! The queue for the bar therefore was longer than a taxi queue at 2am on union st! In my whole evening I had 2 drinks due to the never ending queue at the bar . The Copthorne team just couldn’t coordinate drinks or food service. Despite being notified well in advance of our colleagues with special diet requirements , it all went wrong with one of our team not getting a starter or a main as we “ shared” out the awful offerings . One cheeky member of their team even questioned the validity of a colleague being Vegan ! Table service was all over the place. Food itself, was just acceptable . Food was all very very wet and not the most appetising served Buffett style, except for initial meat option , then weirdly there was a young lad pointlessly serving a spoon of gravy at the very end ....I found the whole experience disappointing . Seeing colleagues left hungry & upset is not quite the “ Party”experience I look forward to .

Horrendous!!! Spent the night in room 424. Managed ZERO sleep due to the room being beside some type of airduct that caused the most horrendous noise every 10mins continuously throughout the night. 4 star hotel??? Would have got more sleep in a tent beside the runway at Aberdeen international airport.

Christmas meal was terrible - chewy beef, dry turkey, very little veg, no yorkie puddings. And I heard they ran out of pigs in blankets �Soups being cleared before people were finished - small soups and puddings. Apple crumble topping made with oats not crumble � No tea and coffee service. Wasn’t made aware there was a kids disco or invited in to see santa (luckily son just went!). No christmas music or atmosphere! Overall a very poor experience!
