It's very seldom we ever do a wedding where we don't meet the bride and groom before the big day, but with these two working down in London, all our correspondence was done via e-mail. Just loved our day with Danny and Elliott, at Banchory Lodge Hotel last weekend. A day full of fun, emotion, and lots of home made charm - including Mum Julie's home made Gin (any left Julie?!) What a super couple - very relaxed and informal day - right up our street.Thank you both for choosing Deeside Photographics, and we send you all our love and best wishes for the future! We are very much looking forward to our wedding on Saturday at Cluny Castle, with Joanne and Brian. I have known the Riach family for many years now, so looking forward to catching up with them all at the weekend. Sending you both , all our good wishes for a fabulous day on Saturday.

We've moved into our new studio and reception area today - we are almost there. Sorry we had to close today, but like everything else in life, you need time to get it right. Still a few things to fine tune (having OCD does help though - or does it?) !). We will be onto the end of July Wedding editing next week, thank you for your patience and understanding everyone - looking forward to a fresh approach , some new ideas, and the autumn weddings next. Having taken some photos at Bill's 80th Birthday on Sunday, I walked away thinking just how important it is to record life events, with all your family around you, and as one of the family mentioned , something they could always treasure - and so right she was. Makes you think . Here's a fine bunch indeed - Bill's grandkids!

We are hopefully shifting departments tomorrow and Wednesday , into our new studio area, so we have decided to close tomorrow and Wednesday (apart from our already booked evening consultations). We will still be answering all e-mail and Facebook enquiries. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to be all streamline and back in operation by Thursday!

We will still be seeing our scheduled appointments , last of the album sale appointments, and our consultations this week, but the actual studio will be closed for any photography, as we are in our final stages of our 2018 refurb, and the salon starts too!! Sorry for any inconvenience, but we look forward to our new look studio and salon environment with gusto! Thank you to you all for your patience and support. ' My old Boss and inspiration turns 80 '!
When I was a tubby teenager, my first job was message boy at the Spar store on Banchory High Street. We had great times there. School just wasn't for me back then, so I always looked forward to going into the shop to work for Bill, and his lovely wife Mabel (who is sadly no longer with us).
Bill, without doubt, is a stalwart of the Banchory community , not only as a well liked and well respected businessman for many years ( the heart... of the high street), but he also did ' lots of good ' in the community, especially for the local youth football groups, and was always first to donate something for a charity event. He was even Santa at the towns Christmas Lights Switch On many times - (but don’t tell the kids !) Bill and Mabel were like parents to me. Lots of teenagers over the years worked with Bill and Mabel, and they all respected them greatly, and loved his sense of humour - we still see some of them now, and chat about our Spar days! I used to babysit the kids at times, in the flat above the shop, when more often than not, the kids would be running riot - as I slept in front of the TV, after some Spar goodie bags from Bill ! Bill had plans for me to train as an assistant manager at the shop, which I took on after leaving school - I am more than sure it would have been a great future working with the Findlays. I dreaded the day , (after my mother bought me an old SLR Camera at a jumble sale), that I would have to tell Bill that I would be heading off to work in a camera shop to ' learn a bit more about it all ' !
This Sunday, Bill celebrated his 80th Birthday , surrounded by his close family and friends , with a lunch at the Milton. On behalf of myself and lots of the local community, we wish you a very HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY Bill, and thank you for all your encouragement, support, and inspiration in the early years.

Well firstly we have known Logan for a wee while as he did my graduation pictures away back in 2012. We wouldn’t have known about this wonderful, witty and very talented photographer if it wasn’t for him meeting my mum and dad through friends of theirs! We always knew we would have Deeside Photographics for our wedding and booked instantly when we got engaged! All I can say is from start to finish from dealing with our queries, our pre wedding photo shoot and the actual wedding day was just such an amazing and professional service! We first met Logan when he did our wedding back on August 19th 2007. After arranging to renew our vows on 19th August 2017 there is no one else but him we wanted. So much so when he was originally booked we decided not to have a photographer. But Lady Luck was on our side and his other wedding changed the date. Whilst waiting for my girl to walk in the church in the peaceful setting of the forest of birse all I could hear coming from outside was Heidi howling with laughter and that's what Logan does not only take the most amazing pictures but makes everyone relax and laugh. We are now sitting chatting if we wait for another 10 years or celebrate our 15th anniversary, so one things for sure you will get to take the pics of our third wedding. Is that a deeside record? Thanks again mate love Dan (and my very quiet undemanding wife) x

Logan has a great eye for detail and makes everyone feel so relaxed when he is photographing. His great sense of humour adds to the experience and ensures a lot of giggles!

We booked him quite far in advance however he kept in touch and was quick to respond to any questions or queries we had. The hundreds of photos we have from our wedding day are simply stunning (if I do say so myself!), a good mix of candid and traditional, capturing the memories of our wedding day perfectly. Picking the photos for the wedding album has proved quite a task… only took 7 months!



Professional service from start to finish, but equally great fun to work with – lots of giggles and most importantly, no stressing 😊 Andrew and I really did have the best day, so thank you all again for being part of it.

Logan and his team have been doing Emily's photos since she was born, and wlill continue to do so. Logan is a natural with emily considering she gets nervous but never with logan. The photos are always amazing, he captures the perfect scenery , Thank you logan xxx

It is not surprising to see that Deeside Photographics only have 5 star reviews! My Husband and I first met Logan at a friends wedding and I knew straight away that he was the 1 and only choice for our own wedding. Logan has a great eye for detail and makes everyone feel so relaxed when he is photographing. His great sense of humour adds to the experience and ensures a lot of giggles!



From start to finish Logan and his team were professional and so easy to work with. We booked him quite far in advance however he kept in touch and was quick to respond to any questions or queries we had. We visited the Studio a couple of time and were very pleased with the with the work they had displayed.

Having had my wedding photographs taken by Logan (which I absolutely love) he was the first person I thought of to take photos of my son! Deeside photographics was always going to be the obvious choice for our big day, but after deciding to get married over in Portugal we didn't know it if would be possible..

Can not recommend deeside enough! Thank you to Logan and Georgie our photos are stunning. Special thanks to Irene who helped sort my dress for the photos and also had to deal with Logan’s teasing! Logan helped all guests relax and have fun even with some of the less reluctant guests (my daughter) Logan got some beautiful images think it helps he’s a big kid also!

Absolutely super service and photos so far from Deeside photos! Logan worked so well with my two families and makes sure everyone has such a laugh - being away for your photos doesn't seem as bad when you're constantly laughing!! So quick and efficient with an eye for detail! Irene was so helpful, it felt like I had my own PA, always sorting my veil and dress and holding my flowers and dress at the back!
