Went in for some food and chose the early bird menu with the steak which was excellent the chips were amazing! And the pudding fruit crumble was excellent who knew you could cram so much fruit into a ramiken dish! My partner had fish and chips and brownie which he alao really enjoyed.

Portion sizes of both meals were spot on compared to other bar/restaurants that over cram your plate. Would recommend to anyone

User

We were recommended to this hotel and it was lovely, food and staff were top notch

User

We spent a few days in Banchory last April and enjoyed some lovely meals with you. Very comfortable and nice decor.

Keep up the good work.

User

We popped in to have a meal with friends on very short notice. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was delivered quickly and was of a high quality and very tasty!! Would definitely recommend.

User

We got parked right outside and they had a dogs drinks area on entrance and the coffees amazing we had the fish OMG make sure your hungry Highly recommended

User

We came further north to try true highland beef food was great - service was also great and a good selection of wine also.

User

Travelled around the area for a few days and popped in here and found the food to be fantastic! My husband and I had eaten at various places on our travels but this place beat the lot of them! A warm friendly welcome, fast efficient service, a clean modern establishment and a very reasonable price, fabulous coffee and the best pot of tea! When we're next in the area we will be back. Highly recommended to all, thank you

User

Stayed and ate at Banchory Lodge Hotel on the the previous evening but decided to re visit Dougies on Thursday evening, had the Early Bird menu and the best Haggis Bon Bons we have ever tasted, plus a lovely tasty steak for a tenner !! Come on people of Banchory use it or loose it, 2 courses for a tenner !! Amazing value for super tasty food.

User

Popped past on Friday evening with my son just after he’d past driving test and had excellent steak from the early bird menu which is great value. Service was fantastic and very prompt.

User

Only popped in past for a few drinks as it was our first time in Banchory, lovely place and the bar staff icluding one of the owners were very friendly

User

On arrival, enquired if we would be allowed to take a small dog on to the sun porch with us while we had something to eat. Waitress said that this would be no problem, and she was very mannerable, and accommodating. Meal was of a good standard, and service was very good also. Would be delighted to recommend the Douglas Arms to anyone...

User

I will not think a second about going back

User

Food was first class and the service was really good. I would thoroughly recommend eating here. Even had sun cream out for folk of certain hair colour. 😄

User

Beautiful hotel. Since it was revamped the hotel has stepped up into a very classy but welcoming hotel. Food is excellent - with a great range of alcoholic beverages to help tickle your taste buds! A friend from Canada visited and was pleasantly surprised with the range of non- alcoholic drinks on offer too! Very pleasant staff give a great bonus if you visit, so for this, and everything l have mentioned l highly recommend the Douglas Arms Hotel, Banchory.

User

Absolutely delicious lunch today. Beautiful interior and friendly atmosphere. The added dog bar at the front is genius. Definitely be back soon. Thanks

Stayed last night on a trip for work. Room was clean but thought it smelled as though someone had been smoking in it? Bathroom small but ok and again found it to be clean. Bed comfortable enough and just what I needed. Tea and coffee making facilities were a good addition. Meal in bar great and I found staff very helpful and friendly. All in all good value for money. I would stay again if on business there.

User

Very friendly and efficient staff. Main courses were lovely and piping hot. The brownie my father had got dessert was hard and dense he could not get it "broken up " to eat it. I doubt even if it was heated up if it would have been edibles the staff did offer to bring him something else but he declined. The other dessert and coffee were lovely. We will try again and hope everything is 100% next time.

User

Brilliant with tables to sit outside in

Sun!! and pet friendly which is a bonus for us so managed to sit inside for food, food tasted good but sadly the portion size of food let it down was still Hungry after it so was the kids which is a disappointment as £12 a meal!! Staff was very friendly and helpful though 😊
