More sad news. Just heard Kenny Murray has also passed away the week.

Sad news I am afraid. Just been told David Whyte passed away at the weekend. Our thoughts go out to Margaret and her family.

Membership time is nearly upon us again. All members should have received a form either by email or post. Anyone missing the form can use this one.

Just a reminder that it is Men's night next Saturday.

The Bowling Season gets under way. Hatnight game and sandwiches supplied.

The Treasurer will be at the club between 10am and 12pm to receive membership fees for the upcoming season.

Night of fun and games for the male members of the club. Will include poker session.

Bring in the New Year at the Bowling Club. Bingo and other fun games all evening.

The AGM of the Bowling Club will be held in the clubhouse from 2pm onwards. The Committee request as many of our members attend this as possible. If anyone has any proposals to raise at the meeting, please inform the Secretary two weeks beforehand.

The Closing of the Green will start at 2:30pm with a spider followed by a hat event, with sandwiches served at half time. This will be followed by the presentation of trophies for this years competition winners. A raffle will then be drawn. Then some games and quizzes etc. Then food shall arrive from the Sea Salt and Sole fish and chips shop.

Congratulations to the Triples who have won their league and been promoted for next year!

Well the finals night did not go quite to plan. Everyone turned up including a large number of spectators. But unfortunately so did the rain. We started to play but the rain got heavier and heavier until we had to give up. Neil led in the Gents Singles by 18-6 and Margaret led in the Ladies 13-12. So we arranged to resume on Sunday at 12 noon. Driving to the club the rain started again. But this time it actually went off and we got the matches completed. Neil won against Graham 21-14 and Margaret beat Evelyn 21-17. Congratulations to Neil on his first win, and to Margaret on her second.
