When you hang up all your stockings on the wall - make sure they are fairly traded from Nepal! That song's going round in your head now isn't it! :) These colourful cosy socks are hand knitted by Nepalese women from the Kumbeshwar Technical School which supports over 2000 women and helps underprivileged and low income families with free primary education and vocational skills training. Also, the proceeds raised by selling these items will be donated to the Huntly based chari...ty Himalayan Initiatives, which has been buying wood burning stoves for use in Nepalese homes since 2013. Each stove costs approximately £62 and so far over 700 stoves have been bought and installed to the needy. It's another busy Saturday here in Huntly: We have Mandy coming in at 11am to demonstrate how to paint onto silk and to give a short talk about her aspirations and current projects. Last meeting of 2018 this Friday. There's no meeting in December but keep the donations coming - we'll still be sending them off to those who need them. From January 2019 we will be meeting on the last Monday of the month so the next meeting will be Monday 28 January 2019.

We will be open on Sunday 16th December from 10am-2pm for some Christmas Shopping. We will also be offering a FREE MINCE PIE with any hot drink purchased from our coffee shop (sit in or take out). Pop along for a warm welcome and some festive cheer.
