Awaiting final pictures from client once they have finished decorating and arranging furnishings etc , but job completed in Aberdeen using Quick-Step laminate flooring to lounge, two bedrooms, hallway, vestibule and landing. All finished using matching incizo trims. Carpet also installed to staircase.

Had a lovely time down at Floorskills Training Centre open day. Well done to all the guys who created these amazing pieces of work. Absolutely outstanding and a credit to the trade, was great catching up with some familiar faces too.

Checked in for tomorrow’s open day/European LVT fitter of the year final at Floorskills Training Centre. Looking forward to seeing the work being carried out by some of the best, speaking to manufacturers and seeing some of the guys from all the social media pages.

Staircase done with black and grey twist carpet alternatively, a lot more work than normal due to every step being on individually and getting the correct gripper spacing.

🌀 Picture on the left is a staircase in which the underlay hasn’t been fitted gripper-gripper which can cause the carpet to wear through as you can clearly see.
Picture on the right is an example of this. NOT from the same job, but underlay should always cover the full step if carpet is being installed using the ‘waterfall effect’ 🌀
