First Competence Description

…along with their component parts, are properly developed, implemented and work together as a single entity.
First Competence has been established to provide effective and efficient interdependent lifting products and services.
We can provide one element, such as a lifting operations review or multiple elements and components, for example a lifting procedure review, update, implementation process, training, interim competent personnel, safety awareness handbooks, etc.
Reviews
The First Competence DMS is a simple online tool, designed to enable clients / operators to efficiently plan and display the loads on their asset decks / landing areas, and to provide offshore and onshore logistics stakeholders with a live view of their layout.
The person authorised / responsible for planning deck / landing areas, has Edit Access via an ATEX IECEx Zone 1 rated tablet or their desktop computer. Logistics stakeholders have a view only access via their desktop c...omputers.
Once signed in and the applicable deck has been selected, the edit user can:
· Enter a load size and simply drag it onto the deck / landing area
· Add the sling and door locations / clearances to the applicable side of the load
· Rotate the load to the correct orientation
· Record the load identification number
· Display the remaining unoccupied deck / landing area
After entering all the loads, the plan can then be saved, printed, updated and viewed.
Logistics stakeholders, with view only access, can also plan future / proposed deck layouts, which can then be printed / sent for consideration.
Future functionality, such as certification dates, internal tracking, hazardous goods, deck loadings, etc. is only limited by the data you input.

Lifting | Learning and Development Strategy
A First Competence development programme has already been very successful with an overseas drilling contractor but can also be introduced into any medium to large project or individual facilities.
The programme’s aim, over a period of time, is to produce competent lifting personnel, along with suitable lifting equipment, processes and performance.
... For example, with new personnel that have little or no knowledge / experience, the programme utilises structured training, experience and assessment elements to gradually increase an individual’s level of knowledge, expand their experience, increase ability and focus compliant behaviour within a safe system of work.
For existing personnel, it assesses current qualifications, knowledge, experience, ability and behaviour with the view of confirming role suitability and / or implementing a development plan.
