Welcome to Fluff, Feathers and Scales! My name is Thea and after having a plethora of pets and a love of all animals growing up, I have finally decided to pursue animal care as a career. Originally, I studied Sport and Exercise Science at university but changed direction after obtaining my degree and completed an HND in Animal Care in 2016. I will be currently studying Zoology so aim to fit my working hours around this.

I have had a wealth of experience with cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as poultry and waterfowl. During my time at college, I gained a lot of knowledge and practical experience with the care of aviary birds, a large variety of small mammals and reptiles as well as Shetland ponies. I also have had some experience of zoo animal care, having completed two separate work placements at Blair Drummond Safari Park in their tiger /macaque department and their sea lion department.
