About Fyvie Guide House
Fyvie Guide House is a Girlguiding Holiday property run jointly between Girlguiding Gordon and Girlguiding Banff and Buchan. It has been inspiring adventure since 1967. It is located in the rural village of Fyvie, 25 miles to the North West of Aberdeen.

Fyvie Guide House is a Girlguiding Holiday property run jointly between Girlguiding Gordon and Girlguiding Banff and Buchan. It has been inspiring adventure since 1967.
It is located in the rural village of Fyvie, around 25 miles to the North West of Aberdeen.
Fyvie Guide House is available for use by Guiding Groups and outside groups of all ages.
The accommodation sleeps up to 26 people and is available to groups on a self-catering basis.
The accommodation comprises of :
Fully equipped kitchen
Sitting Room - Dining Room - Activity Rooms - Showers, toilets
Dormitory 4 bunk beds Sleeps 8
Dormitory 2 3 bunk beds Sleeps 6
Dormitory 3 2 bunk beds Sleeps 4
Adult room 2 bunk beds Sleeps 4
Adult Room 2 single beds Sleeps 2
Adult Room 2 single beds Sleeps 2
A National Trust Card for Fyvie Castle can be made available on request.
We are working to renovate the toilets, kitchen and dining room.

In light of the latest directives from the government and Girlguiding, we have to, unfortunately, advise you that Fyvie Guide House will be closed until further notice. Please do not contact us about re-booking until we know more about this fast changing situation. Our booking secretary will be contacting everyone that has a booking over the next day or two. We understand that this will be upsetting for you and your girls but we need to try to keep everyone as safe as possible. Stay safe and take care.
We have been discussing arrangements for Fyvie Guide House due to the coronavirus pandemic.
At the moment FGH will remain open in accordance with GG guidelines and the fact that the schools are still open. However units can delay payment until the weekend of their event.
If or more likely when, the schools close, we will close Fyvie Guide House and offer units either a refund of their deposit or a chance to book another weekend when things return to normal.

It's been a while since we gave you any update on the refurbishments upstairs so here's the latest. Painting is finished and pipe covers are in place. New vinyl will be laid just after the New Year and we have some other little additions to make. Then we'll be ready for action once more. Apologies to those who have been unable to use the craft rooms in the last few weeks but we hope you think it's been worth the wait. We do!!

We have a surplus of chairs in the craft rooms at Fyvie Guide House. These chairs are mainly older wooden ones. If anyone could use these chairs (great for an upcycling project) please message us before Friday.

Update on craft room number 2. It's taking a bit of time to get these rooms refurbished but it will all be worth it in the end!
Another bedroom refurbished over the summer. What will we do next?
Our craft room improvements are coming along nicely. Cupboards are full of games and lots of paper for you to use!

It's the holidays so something must be happening at Fyvie Guide House. The main thing this summer is to upgrade the craft rooms upstairs starting with the installation of some cupboards to keep everything tidy. More photos to come as the work progresses! And maybe we might have more to report later.
