About Garioch Gazelles
The Garioch Gazelles is a friendly running group for all abilities of runner - from complete beginners to seasoned runners.
Garioch Gazelles Description
We are a Jog Scotland affiliated club that meets every Monday and Thursday at 6. 30pm at the Garioch Sports Centre in Inverurie - all abilities of runner are welcome to join us.
Coaches and volunteers who are trained through Jog Scotland take the Garioch Gazelles out in groups on a variety of runs. We also run the 10 weeks to 10k programme every New Year in conjunction with the Garioch Sports Centre to get complete beginners trained up to 10k standard ahead of the Run Garioch 10k and 5k in April.
In the summer with light nights, members enjoy running in the Garioch countryside with various routes around Inverurie including the Fetternear estate and Keithhall. In winter and darker nights, safe town routes are carefully chosen to ensure that runners can still get in a full 10k run, but without compromising safety.
We are a friendly group and all new members whatever their ability are made very welcome. Those who are new to running are eased into it at their own pace with a set training programme.
