Unfortunately due to the weather conditions tomorrow we have had to cancel our family fun sports day, We will still be having some fun games for the kids (and adults) 😉 as well as some great craft stalls for you all too nosey around. We will rearrange the BBQ for a day packed with Sunshine to make for a more enjoyable day

The food is great but the service is appalling waiting on average an hour for our main courses????? And theres only about 6 people in the restaurant??? Not impressed!!!!!

Just had a lovely meal here for our 2nd wedding anniversary. I messaged the wellington to tell them it will be our first time at this hotel for food and it is our anniversary. They messaged back wishing us a happy anniversary and look forward to seeing us. When we arrived, Lauren showed us to our table and gave brilliant service throughout, even wishing us a happy anniversary. Food was delicious and came out quick. We asked for the dessert menu, Lauren came back a few minutes later with a dessert made up for the two of us as for our anniversary. Loved it, we weren’t expecting anything. Will definately be back here for food xx

Food great a very ,welcoming feeling will definitely be back when back in the area.Great host.

We have never had problems in previous visits but todays service was not as high standards as usual, however when this was brought up to the manager he sincerely apologised and wiped the bill. A big thank you to him! � hopefully everything back to normal on our next visit �

Had daytime menu food quick, plentiful & good value.

Service was efficient but could be a bit more relaxed felt server was in a hurry although not many tables in.

On a 4 night work stay and room was good as what I wanted, food was also good and need to thank the kitchen staff, waitresses and dawn who was always happy even under all the pressure well done to the staff 👍

Had lunch with my mum we went for the smoky bean burrito with salad for £4.99 and extra chips with a little glass of rose, was lovely, well worth it, seated straight away and served quickly, defo being going back �

Great service and good food. Not eaten there In a very long time but I will be back soon. Thank you

went for breakfast before heading to the game order given drinks arrived all o/k i asked for white toast got brown but our meals were fine service shockingly slow

Ample car parking which is good for this area.

Room is small but does all I need for a two night business stay and Wi-fi in the room was fine and in the restaurant.

Food selection was plentiful and rather good quality and quantity for a relatively low cost.

So for what I have paid, I will come back and will be here next week.

GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY

We went to the Santa Breakfast as we had really enjoyed it the previous year.

The only good thing this year was the lovely staff.

The food was cold and undercooked. The gift from Santa was poorer quality than last year. We were also disappointed that the face painter wasn't there this time, but as they said they didn't advertise that there would be one.

We used to eat here once a month about 10 years ago but stopped going as the quality of the meals took a dramatic downturn. We have recently started going back as we live nearby, each time hoping it will have improved, but we are left disappointed every time.

Ordered chicken and peppercorn sauce. No sauce, but they were going to charge me for a replacement (same price) sauce. Oh yeah, and my chicken was under cooked....No neeps or whiskey sauce for the haggis neeps and tatties with whiskey sauce.....! So when I asked for carrots and some other sauce....we were given a bowl of over boiled potatoes and peas.....with no sauce.....and the burrito came with no jalapenos or sour cream....not quite as advertised !!!!! Think we will go to tesco for pudding.........

The waitress was suitably embarrassed.....but not very helpful.

However..... the chicken was removed from the bill....admittedly without a word....but this was good.

My first visit in a while. Was looking forward to enjoying a Sunday roast. Disappointed. Veg was dried in, Yorkshire pudding was what seemed to be a shop bought one, no roast potatoes, just an unsightly dollop of mash instead. My daughters main wasn't that good either and when I asked for the dessert menu (in which I thought I had spoken clearly) I was presented with the bill.� very disappointing meal.

Had tea here last night ordered the steak and ribs. Requested steak to be rare to medium Food came (table for 4).steak cooked to well done and ribs cold. Returned food and waitress came back advising the chef asking how much more I wanted steak cooked. Em no I wanted it under cooked not over done, new plate of food cooked and again steak cooked to well done, at least rest of the plate hot. Advise to chef learn to cook a steak as this is unacceptable. We go here a lot and would admit its a hit or a miss this time a defo miss. Chef please learn to cook

We go here most times when in aberdeen working as good and easy. Went today just before 1 o'clock and got turned away and no reason given. Place wasn't even half full.

Will NOT be going back

Sat here now after 40 minutes food arrives, Luke warm, child portions ( large) would not feed a 1 year old. Daughters corn on cob burnt as is garlic bread. My sandwich stale bread and cold soggy potato fries. Youngest daughter (3) cold hard chips and chicken that was borderline cold, even she wouldn't eat it after waiting so long. Half hearted apology from the manager on duty, he was uninterested. Used to like coming here for food. Place is not exactly busy so 40 -50 minutes is not really justified if food is coming out cold. I would avoid at all costs, this being from someone who used to like coming here with the kids. I will not be returning. If this had a lower rating, I would have rated it that.

Out for a family birthday meal with 11 of us for & was a total disgrace!!! Served food at different time, served cold chicken waited over an hour for food people getting sereved before us that came in after us. Managed was useless!! When asked for drinks we waited over 20 mins, we took in a cake when asked for cake took them 20 mins to take it out to the table with no knife to cut it we had to use a butter knife. We ordered a round of drinks before leaving with the bill that took so long we waited 30 mins so we cancelled the drinks & still waited 15 mins after that for the bill. We got there at 5.30pm we didn't leave there until 8.15pm!! We won't be back!!!!!

Only a few tables occupied and still sat for over an hour waiting for food so we gave up and left. allergy information very poor, kids allergy list totally unreadable, staff less than helpful. Won’t be back.

Nearly 3 hours for a pre-ordered festive dinner, that was mediocre, over charged when the bill came for things we didn’t order and the staff were miserable. Won’t be back in a rush!
