We were attending the John Bishop gig at the AECC and rather than travel home the same night, we booked a room. I wasn't expecting anything but very basic accomodation and service but we were very pleased to be proved wrong. The room was very clean and comfortable, all staff from the receptionist, servers to the male housekeeper (who patiently showed us into our room as we're keycard killers!! )were really lovely and genuinely took an interest in us as guests. We will definitely book here again. Being so close to the AECC is an added bonus but the staff made our stay and are the reason we'd recommend.

We stayed here as we were watching a concert at the AECC so it was ideally situated just across the road. Very nice hotel. Room was very clean and had everything you would need. When we left we asked if we could book again for a room in February. The hotel manager could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

The perfect place to stay when at the AECC...in room 2 mins after end of the gig. A fab friendly welcome from the girls on reception, a good comfy relax, a good sleep and great Value. Oh, fab towels! Thoroughly enjoyed our included in the rate breakfast...the granola, yoghurt and compote was yummy! Have stayed a few times...will stay again.

Stayed for one night. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Recently stayed here for 2 nights for business rooms really clean and comfortable beds ,breakfast was really good with good selection to choose from ,hotel staff really friendly in particular Lauren who went out of her way to speak to not only myself but other people at the bar which is really nice I thought and asked how our day was a credit to the hotel.I stay at a lot of holiday inn express and given the size of the lobby/breakfast area could be doing with serving evening meals as not convenient to go to the holiday inn next door after a long working day

Really enjoyed my 2 day stay. Unexpected visit but it was relaxing. Staff .food and room really good. One of the best HIE s that I've stayed at.

Really handy for N of Aberdeen business and only 15 minutes from the airport.They also have a shuttle bus. Would recommend it. Will stay again.

Haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn Express and was pleasantly surprised. Couldn't fault a thing. Nice room, comfy bed, great breakfast, very clean, pleasant ,professional staff. We took bar food to our room as I was too tired to go out. Food was delicious ,well presented and hot. Manager and reception staff went beyond expectations. Have already recommended this hotel to friends.

Great helpful staff, good location for attending concerts. Food good (pre set concert menu) good place to stay.

One minor complaint bedroom window wouldnŌĆÖt open (I prefer fresh air to a/c air).

Hubby and I stayed here whilst visiting a relative in Aberdeen infirmary.

Staff were very pleasant ,check in was very quick, room was very clean, bed very comfortable, plus plenty hot water for showers.

.large TV on the wall with plenty channels to choose from was also a big bonus!!!!



a lovely lounge downstairs in the reception area where you can enjoy a drink ,read one of the complimentary newspapers or sit and watch the TV.

Breakfast was self service , with plenty hot/ cold choices available.

As returning guests we find this to be extremely good value. A warm and friendly welcome together with distress rooms and ample breakfast guarantees our return when in the area. It may be slightly remote for those wishing to spend time in the city centre but allows us easy access to the many wonderful golf courses in the north east

Very friendly and helpful, our original room that we checked into the heating was faulty and the. Window needed resealed. Went to reception and complained within 15 minutes the receptionist not only checked us into another room she had gone in and turned the heating on for us and had put in a portable radiator to help warm the room up quickly for us, the only thing is I have forgotten her name but thanks to her our stay was very comfortable and would defiantly stay again and reckoned it to others. Big ­¤æŹ up x

Really nice staff which is always a bonus. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast could have a better choice of fresh fruit, even fresh fruit salad, prunes etc. Found the juice a bit watered down but not too bad for the price. Not at all convenient if you want to go into town but that was my mistake, however not too bad a stay at all.

Hotel was great apart from 2 nights they did not serve food as they said they where short staffed both days which we where sent to their other hotel which is not far away but it's not very nice staff where great food was average the express breakfast however was great apart from that great value for when your working at the conference centre

Good location and not too far from beach, rooms and very clean and comfy. Breakfast however was something else, stayed two nights and both mornings we had to queue for ages for breakfast as people were toasting bread that needed put through toaster twice, there was only one tray of bacon, one of sausages, one scrambled egg and one pot of beans. For the amount of people using the breakfast area I think this should be increased. Trays of hot food were empty quite quickly and not being replenished quickly enough. Felt for the waiting staff as they seemed stressed. Think this could be a bit more organised. Also it was my daughters 10th birthday and we had bought a bottle of Shloer (champagne style bottle) for them, so we went to the bar and ordered our alcoholic drinks and were told we couldn't open this bottle in bar area as it wasn't purchased there. We were told we could open it in our room (doesn't has same appeal, but that's what we ended up having to do). Apart from this we enjoyed our stay.

Found it better than the last 5 star we stayed in, basic room but very clean huge towels and very soft. Beds comfy and was quiet. Breakfast ok, nothing to flashy but no waiting time at all, food very fresh and plenty of it.

Definitely stay again.

Stayed for last 2 nights & it was basic. Bedroom was to accommodate 2 adults & 1 toddler. Very small room especially when sofa bed used. Sofa bed extremely uncomfortable so much so that it needs the mattress replaced. Room 210. Barely slept all

Night with the springs & steel base. Very noisy at night with other guests in & out of rooms. Room clean. Breakfast was average. Long queues for hot food so we opted for cereals & fruit as with a toddler you can't wait for hot food. Even if you did the items weren't being topped up quick enough in the tiny hot food unit. Not an ideal setting for hot food & certainly not enough tables for a busy breakfast sitting. Fire alarm went off during the evening. Only saw 1 representative from the hotel with little communication from the lady just saying it's fine whilst she was out of breath. A letter was put through our doors explaining what happened. It's an okay overnight stay but would only ever use for this. Ideal for business people for one night -not for families.

Lovely room and staff! But! We were never told that's there were no bar snacks as advertised in the brochure so we had no time to have a meal before the show! Also breakfast was a disaster! No bacon , no eggs stale croissants! 20 minutes till they were refilled!

over all a good hotel is good in the winter months but summer is a nightmare. i stay here every month as my company use this hotel work the air conditioning in the building does not work which there aware of and all the windows are locked closed. i have ask staff when this will be sorted but they are sick of the question as they get it a lot and nothing gets done about it from there head office so i would personally only stay here in the winter months as you wont manage to sleep in the summer ones if u like it cool.
