TWILIGHT EXPERIENCE ——————————— Come along and enjoy the ride of your life on our trail of dreams with the Twilight mushing experience week nights throughout winter.
... Meet our team of Siberian Huskies and share in our passion for this awesome breed. All participants will prepare their very own team and equipment for the trail during which time each person will be assessed on their capabilities and will be teamed up with a suitable team of 3 ,4 or 5 Huskies.
Weather dependent will determine the trail distance which will be between 2 and 7 miles this is not for the fainthearted as it can be quite demanding but very fulfilling.
Group sizes will vary and the cost for this experience is a fixed price of £65 per person. Hot drinks and snacks are included for trail fuel!
FULL HANDS ON ——————————- As above but included Experience first hand how these K9 athletes live and prepare for there time in harness , feeding habits , training regime day to day chores and get hands on with the equipment what we use and how we use it. Then join in and share Wattie's Alaskan Iditarod experiences with audio/visual presentation and museum tour.

Wow, this place is incredible and such a privilege and unique place to have here on our doorstep. We did the full hands on experience and that it was! The huskys were mesmerising and so loving and Wattie and the team did an amazing job teaching us all about the husky's and his experiences in mushing in Alaska. Highly recommend the place. What an amazing time we had this evening with Wattie and his team at Huskyhaven. All team members made us feel so welcome and were very kind. We then met the four legged pack that was amazing to see them all together. Went on a 6 mile hike with them and wow it wasn't easy on the way up!! Lol. Coming down was much easier but what an experience it was. Wattie and team should be proud to what they have built as there is nothing else quite like it in UK. Was hands on with dogs, learning about Wattie's past and heard some cracking stories. Will defo be back. Thank you again � x

What a fantastic place!! We got to hear all about Watty’s amazing backstory, we helped prepare the huskies to take us out, then we led our own team of huskies on a trail! Utterly amazing experience, Watty is incredibly knowledgeable and made us all feel so welcome. His dogs are stunning and he takes such fabulous care of them all. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this place. For us, it was driven by our daughters obsession with huskies but I now think we’ve all fallen in love with them!

What a fab day spent at Huskyhaven. My 10 yr old son and I were in our element with all the dogs! I was a bit apprehensive setting off mushing (albeit with only 2 dogs, so not exactly high pressure!) But I loved every minute of it. Was fascinated by Wattie's race stories. Just as well I'm not 5 mins away from Huskyhaven, otherwise they'd have me at the gate everyday wanting to spend time with the beautiful friendly Husky's. �

We had a lovely time meeting all the dogs yesterday. Every dogs was super friendly and loved all the attention they received. Well worth a visit for kids and adults ❤️

The dogs were so beautiful. Jane, Gordon and Sarah were lovely and they made our experience truly amazing. We are so glad that we had the chance to do something like this and we would all do it again in a heartbeat. All we want to do is see the dogs again and give them so many fusses! Well done team and thank you!!!

My husband surprised me a couple of days ago by taking us there for my birthday treat. It was a fantastic experience! We enjoyed ourselves so much, learned heaps about Iditarod through Wattie's passion, and the staff was extremely friendly. Plus, we got gorgeous weather...double rainbows as we began our Huskyhaven experience. My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend it if one is looking for something new, fun, and educational. It was a pleasure spending time with Wattie MacDonald, Jane and Barry. OH! One more thing, the most important part of all, the huskies are indeed the stars of the show!!!! So loving, friendly, obedient, adorable!!!! They stole our hearts.

My daughter (8) and I really enjoyed our visit yesterday. The dogs were so friendly, which was lovely as I'm not the bravest around so many dogs! The sledge racing stories and information from owner Wattie was fascinating, what an achievement! Of course the highlight was the cuddles with the puppies who were just adorable! Highly reccomend a visit and we might even be brace enough to rebook in the future for a sledge ride! 👍🏻🐾

Me and my boyfriend had an experience here on Thursday night and it was amazing! Full on workout with the dogs. We ended up doing 7 miles with my 3 girls. 11 years old and still hiking on. Would recommend it to anyone who thinks they could hack it. Head lamps on the way back and trust in your dogs. Was utterly brilliant. The passion you all have for your huskies is second to none. Thank you for letting us see and share in that.

Just returned from here, what a great day, Wattie and all his helpers are fantastic as of course are the stars of the place all the fantastic dogs. It was great giving the dogs their head and being pulled along at great speed by such powerful animals. The video's of Wattie's adventures was fantastic and they are feats that not many could achieve, a true musher who always puts his team first . Thanks and I will see you again soon.

I did this as a group activity today and left Husky Haven on a high! What an awesome day with incredible dogs. Wattie and his team were very professional and friendly with lots of interesting stories, background on Wattie’s adventures in Alaska and general info on how the dogs are cared for. The husky sledding was absolutely fantastic and loads of fun. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll definitely love this experience!

I came along to Husky Haven last Wednesday just on my own for a Christmas present. I was instantly made to feel welcome and the other people visiting were great too. We first got introduced to an Iditarod legend, Wattie, who runs Husky Haven and his stories are brilliant �. After initial introductions we met the family and what a family they are. I had an amazing day out on the trek and in the cabin learning it all. I would highly recommend this to anyone and I will certainly come back soon!

I booked this as a treat for my 10yo daughter who is animal daft (we have 2 dogs!) and didn’t tell her where we were going!



Wattie is a great speaker with fascinating stories of his times racing. Meeting puppies was an added bonus and it’s all in a very relaxed informal manner which is brilliant.



My daughter and I thoroughly loved our time there and we both learnt a lot. Highly recommend for a visit.

Booked this as a surprise for my daughter, blindfolded all the way so it was a total surprise .

From start to finish Wattie and Mitch were just amazing, my daughter was treated to one of the best days of her life with a dog led scooter ride where she was able to become an apprentice musher also puppy cuddles and then we were treated to the history behind huskyhaven and a slideshow/video of Wattie racing.



I truly cannot recommend this place enough to people, with 2 of my friends already wanting to book , Wattie is an amazing man with amazing stories to tell, a true gent who treated my daughter like the princess she is. I will never forget this day as long as I live. Thank you huskyhaven XXXXX
