What is Keratin?
Keratin is a protein and major component in skin, hair and nails. Hair is mainly made up of keratin-associated proteins. The Keratin acts both as an external protective protein in the cuticle (outer layers of hair) and as an internal structural protein in the cortex (inner core of hair).
You can restore keratin in your hair by receive a keratin treatment. The keratin treatment works by binding a liquid version of keratin combined with a chemical preservative to the hair, blow drying it into the hair, and then flat ironing the strand straight into position. This process helps prevent humidity from penetrating the hair and therefore locking out frizz. If your hair is super curly please be aware that a keratin treatment won’t completely straighten your hair but it will soften the curls and make your hair easier to style and work with. Keratin smoothing is a semi-permanent solution that will keep your hair smooth and sleek for couple of months. Keratin treatment can take 2-5 hours to complete it is depend of length and thickness of your hair.
Why Does Your Hair Need Keratin?
Keratin in hair is depleted when the hair is damaged physically, chemically or from external factors such as the sun or salt water. Keratin loss exposes the hair’s cortex and makes hair more susceptible to damage like dead and split ends and frizzing. Replenishing this lost keratin helps to restore the hair strands, making them smooth and whole again.
Can I get it done if I have dyed or bleached hair?
Yes. Unlike other straightening treatments (home-use flat irons included! ), the keratin method is actually good for bleached and dyed hair, as it can help make it feel healthier and restore shine.
Which hair types can benefit from keratin treatments?
Different hair textures will naturally contain different amounts of keratin. For example, if you have naturally curly or frizzy hair, it’ll contain less keratin than that of someone with naturally straight hair. You’ll also have less keratin in your hair if it’s been chemically-processed before (i. e. dyed or permed), but the good news is, a keratin treatment can help undo that feeling of dry, dull hair, and restore a smoother, shinier appearance.

I was dubious at first, as my hair is very thick and previously it took me 40+ mins to dry and straighten my hair. My hair now blow dries straight! It’s absolutely amazing, no frizz or kink in sight. 10 minutes of drying and I’m done! Eve is fantastic and very knowledgable! Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Eve!!! X

I have always had to straighten my hair due to it having a frizzy mind of its own. I was recommended eve by a friend so bit the bullet and made an appointment. Eve was lovely & my 4hr session passed in no time. I followed her instructions & after 3 days i nervously washed my hair. Then to the most nerve wracking bit of drying it (as this would usually be the point where the frizz disaster began), I honestly could not believe it, my hair dried straight and not a bit of frizz. I have been out in misty rain (another nightmare of mine that would lead to frizz) today & still my hair remains shiny, sleek & smooth. If you are considering doing this treatment I would highly recommend � thank you eve x

I was dubious at first, as my hair is very thick and previously it took me 40+ mins to dry and straighten my hair. My hair now blow dries straight! It’s absolutely amazing, no frizz or kink in sight. 10 minutes of drying and I’m done! Eve is fantastic and very knowledgable! Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Eve!!! X

I just washed my hair yesterday.Can’t tell you enough how pleased I am with my hair. They look so Shiny and straight, feels so smooth. Can’t recommend Evelina enough, takes her time, and finishes to such a high level!! Can’t thank her enough! Xx

I have always had to straighten my hair due to it having a frizzy mind of its own. I was recommended eve by a friend so bit the bullet and made an appointment. Eve was lovely & my 4hr session passed in no time. I followed her instructions & after 3 days i nervously washed my hair. Then to the most nerve wracking bit of drying it (as this would usually be the point where the frizz disaster began), I honestly could not believe it, my hair dried straight and not a bit of frizz. I have been out in misty rain (another nightmare of mine that would lead to frizz) today & still my hair remains shiny, sleek & smooth. If you are considering doing this treatment I would highly recommend � thank you eve x

Eve is a true angel � She was so lovely on the day of my appointment and has even checked in with me twice since to make sure I was still happy with everything! She has changed my hair routine as i’ve never been able to dry it so straight within 5 minutes and I just love the shine it now has. Thank you Eve � x

This lady is a star and so good at what she does! 32 years I've lived with frizzy unmanageable hair. Today I washed it and blow dried it within 10 minutes and was able to leave my house. So so happy with my treatment and it is such an affordable price. I will be back.

Washed my hair today after my treatment and so happy with the results. I have naturally busy/frizzy hair which takes a long time to dry, straighten and style.
