Liam Bowie - Guitar And Bass Tuition

I am delighted to say that I will now be providing guitar (and ukulele) lessons in Stonehaven at Musiczone Music Tuition on a Friday evening. I'm very happy to have been offered this position and can't wait to get started.
I will still be teaching in Aberdeen for anyone who is interested and still have a few spaces available on a Monday evening. If you're interested in lessons on either of these days send me a message or contact Musiczone through there page.

This summer has been crazy busy for me and as a result this page has been pretty quiet. I did, however, take a big step this summer, leaving one of my jobs to focus more on my teaching as well as to develop my own skills.
I still have some spaces in my diary so if you would like to learn guitar, or know someone that would, message me for more details - first lesson is free. Now that the holidays are coming to an end there's no better time to start :)
To push myself at guitar... I have made a list of technically challenging songs that I would like to be able to play. This list includes a mix of contemporary pop songs, 90's rock, progressive rock, classical guitar pieces, and classical pieces that have been arranged for guitar. Below is a short clip of me starting to learn Bach's Partita in E which has been arranged for Electric Guitar.

I set up this page as part of my Graded Unit at college. I chose to set up a teaching practise and teach students at various stages of their guitar playing career - from absolute beginners, to students with additional support needs, and advanced players from my college class.
Yesterday we got our results back for our projects and I'm delighted to tell you all that I recieved an A! 🎉 The best part the project for me, however, was seeing my students develop their skills and im...prove their guitar playing - which is why I have decided to continue teaching after the project was handed in.

This past weekend a good friend of mine, and incredible guitarist, came round to jam and practise our improvising over some common jazz chord progressions.

Now that I have finished most of my college work for the year I can focus a bit more on this page. :)
I am now accepting students that would like to learn guitar, or bass guitar. I will only be accepting a limited number of students however, so if you are at all interested message me here and we can discuss your musical goals that you'd like to achieve in your lessons.
Your first lesson will be free so that we can chat about your musical influences and so that you can see if you think I'm the right teacher for you.

Liam have been brilliant working with my client, teaching someone with special needs can at times be a challenge but Liam is patient, professional and able to problem solve at all times. My client always look forward to his lessons which are as fun and varied as Liam’s t-shirts.

I've had a great experience so far learning from Liam. He knows how to talk to you and teach you what he's wanting to get across without talking down. He has excellent patience and will step in to help at any point. He also catered to what I wanted to learn and made it an enjoyable experience. Couldn't recommend him enough!
