Gail & Ross
Saturday 6th April 2019
This detail of the couples dog Findlay was just a small part of their invitation which was actually on the very back page. Swipe for inside details and the venue drawing. Gail & Ross got married at The Torridon Hotel and I can imagine those views would of just been breath taking. A special place for this couple who visit once every year in the Easter Holidays, making their favourite place to be their wedding venue <3 <3
... A great big congratulations to Gail & Ross! Woohoooo! I hope you enjoy many many more annual visits to Torridon :)

Today I have been to The Barn at Barra Castle (with a flying visit go @wardhillcastle ) to drop off some on the day stationery for Stacey and Iain who have travelled from Dubai to get married in bonnie Scotland. I got to see some pretty amazing behind the scenes action of the set up taking place and i am SO looking forward to seeing the pics of it all finished, Hazel from @robinseggstyling is working her magic - go check out her stories to see the all of the action!
I first ...spoke to Stacey at the end of last year where we discussed plans for a wedding website that was tailored to suit three guest types :weekend guests, day guests and evening guests. We worked together over the phone and email with a mood board of inspiration at the foundation for the creation of the design style.
With the website complete, we then started on the day stationery items : welcome board/signage/table names/place names and a pretty epic seating plan - just wait til you see it. I will share more of these details at a later date ;)
For now here is a venue drawing of The Barn at Barra, swipe for the castle :)

When it comes to creating designs for invites and coming up with new format concepts, I always consider the tactile element and how people will interact with them. You will notice that on all of my 'Tailored collections' and 'Zine-Vites' these come in various format types, page styles and layouts.
You may also notice that these designs all come together as one piece, so even though there may be additional pages/tabs/inserts, these have been designed in such a way so that these all remain attached and not going anywhere. (unless you require an RSVP card - this needs to be detachable so they can be returned 😊) This means no bits of paper/cards that can get lost, keeping all of your important information together.
I love experimenting with new ways of constructing invitations!

As a stationer all of the work I do is collected or delivered prior to the day so getting to watch videos like this is such a joy to see the day itself!
Thank you to Aimee & Scott for choosing Paper Skeleton to make your invitations ❀❀❀

Celestial details
I love seeing how couples incorporate celestial details into their wedding day. I've got a soft spot for this theme and love that I have got to include this in some recent designs.
These details can be seen in one of my Zine-Vite designs (Zine-Vite:Four), pictured above and I can't wait to show you some details from a wedding taking place this week at The Barn at Barra Castle :D More photos from this wedding to be shared later in the week.

Should I send out save the dates?
So this is a question that I get asked quite a lot, and there really is no right or wrong answer. I always say that this is completely your choice and there are many reasons for sending save the dates and for deciding to go straight in and send out the invitations. I have written a blog post (hit the link in my bio) that lists the reasons for yes and reasons for no that I have come across and hope that this helps you make the right decision f...or you.
The picture above is of a save the date that is made from seeded paper. So this means that your guests can actually plant this save the date once your wedding has passed and have a lovely mix of wild flowers to remember your special day by. Isn't that just the loveliest way of reusing your save the date!!
What are your thoughts on sending out save the dates? I would love to hear what you think in the comments :)

🌷🌸Spring has sprung 🌸🌷
Its feeling a lot like Spring around here and its nice to see more and more blooms popping up outside.
The wonderfully wild flowers in this image are by Kim Dalglish for Joannas wedding in New York last year. The wedding menu/ order of the day by me designed to match the Zine-Vite I created for them.
... These were placed at each place setting and paired really well with mini mast chocolate bars that were used as place names. What a great idea, and the colours go so well together!!

After launching my Zine-Vites last October I have been so delighted with the feedback and the orders that have been placed.
Designs have already been created and constructed and sent out to guests for weddings taking place this year and I love the variations and how different each Zine-Vite design looks to the last! I can't wait to share those with you later in the year.
But for now here is another shot of Zine-Vite : One
... The vellum front cover layered above an image, and stitched by hand, with paper label. With a variation of inside pages, splitting up the content and keeping it all in one place.
If you have any questions about the Zine-Vites then just get in touch.
(please note I am now fully booked until August) Now only taking booking for weddings taking place from September 2019 on wards.

Zine-Vites are my latest creation and I LOVE experimenting with different page layouts and designs to work around this new format!
Zine-Vites (pronounced zeen-vites) are editorial style mini magazines telling your guests all they need to know about your wedding day. A modern alternative to an invitation, the Zine-Vite is your β€˜coffee table’ tell all about your day to come.
Each Zine-Vite is made up of beautiful papers in neutral tones (which you can alter) to showcase the uni...que folding techniques and minimal layouts. These papers can be customised to suit your style choosing from GF Smiths Colorplan Range that offers a great selection of colours and Keaykolour Particles range which is 100% Recycled pulp, with beautiful textures available.
The style above in the beautiful shot by @cassidyparkersmith was created with a destination wedding in mind for Joanna & Ed. Plenty of fold outs and dedicated sections/pages for specified content, keeping it neat & tidy while remaining minimal.

A great big CONGRATULATIONS to Aimee & Scott who got married on Saturday 2nd March at Logie Country House
Aimee & Scott adapted the Nordic collection to suit their style. Changing the fonts, colours and wording and adding design elements to make this personal to them. They added a couple drawing, venue drawing and map drawing and half way along the design process we added a drawing of baby girl Paton who arrived a few months before the wedding 😍
Cheers to your beautiful fami...ly!! πŸ₯‚ @ Logie Country House
