We weren’t there for a friend birthday,was excellent,the girl behind the bar was superb

We got married at Rox a couple of weeks ago, it was the best! Denya from Rox helped us plan our day and she was amazing. She took charge of everything we wanted and not one thing was missed. I can't thank them enough for being a huge part of our wedding day and how perfect it all was. I wish I could do it again. The meal was beautiful, the stovies at night were the best ever. I would recommend Rox to anyone for a wedding venue! It was beautiful and everything ran so smoothly! Thanks again to all the staff xx

We are just home after a 3 night stay at the Rox for our friends wedding. We had the most amazing time from start to finish. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they were attentive to the children and there were many, to ensuring everyone was looked after in any way needed. The wedding was outstanding, the hotel beautiful everything was perfect.

This was the 2nd time we had been here for Afternoon Tea. And this time was just as good as the last if not better. Staff were nice and very attentive. Food was good and came with a plate of separate cakes etc for the person in our party who had a nut allergy. Would certainly recommend to friends and we would come back again

Just back from over night trip us it was fantastic stay staff where very quick service and when we got lock out hotel us got in for about 4 am was great night early morning but porter was really nice friendly and for breakfast fantastic very nice buffet breakfast us am always worried about buffet breakfast but it was fantastic and would stay at this hotel again thank you for having me at the Rox hotel big hugs kisses

I had my wedding here Friday 11th August & would definitely recommend to anyone! Everything was very well organised and ran smoother than i could of hoped for. The staff were brilliant and everyone that attended commented how well it all went. Brilliant night had by all. Would love to come back for our anniversary :)

Had the cocktail afternoon tea here for my hen night was absolutely brilliant could not fault anything service was great and food was lovely , definitely recommend �� thank you for making it special �

Had fantastic hen party for my sister..gorgeous outdoor area, you would never think you were in the middle of Market Street. Food was delicious. Staff very friendly.

Had a lovely day out yesterday at the Rox Hotel, for a dear friends birthday.

All 20 of us thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea, met at the start with a chilled glass of fizz, then filled a coffee cup of Spicy Tomato & Lentil soup, with a hot sausage roll.

Then the cake stands arrived, bulging with Sandwiches, wraps, crossants on bottom tier, fresh cream & jam scones on the next & top tier had so many dainty cakes to chose from, sadly it looked like we hadn't started, but we certainly had, most enjoyable.

The staff were excellent & very attentive, with the constant ordering of more tea & coffee & alcoholic beverages.

Can't recommend The Rox Hotel highly enough.

Look forward to the next visit.

Beautiful hotel and staff were very friendly and professional, our room was lovely and large and immaculate. The bar area where we enjoyed a drink was beautiful and very relaxed. Breakfast was buffet style and the choice was excellent, anything from cereal, fruit etc cold meats and smoked salmon, pastries to a full scottish, without all the specials on the menu that could be also ordered, breakfast waiter was very attentive with tea, coffee etc, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again :-)

I think this place is great, I was here for a night for my 19th birthday last July! Room was clean and tidy, staff were very helpful when we asked anything, the food was great but the only downside was the wait for the food :)

Attended the ladies day yesterday. There was an improvement on the one I attended in January. More selection in the sandwiches and more organised getting the afternoon teas out. The buff butler's were better this time. They actually had some banter with everyone. The band as always were great and managed to get people up dancing.

This hotel has overbooked rooms when hosting an engagement party and a wedding during the same weekend. One party had booked 4 rooms in November for the event. When they called up in late January..looking to extend their stay they were advised that they had double booked and that they had no rooms for them.!!!

The hotel manager then offered to book them rooms at Jury's, which they expected the customer to pay - which was more expensive than the booking they had. Shocking response.

They have obviously given into pressure from other parties and either sold the rooms at a better rate or just not given any consideration to a confirmed booking.

Hotel wise very good, except that they advertise with free wifi.



That wifi is unfortunately not free. You pay by giving away all your personal information while surfing. Every web page you visit, every click you make is recorded and used for marketing purposes or sold to a 3rd party.



You could have done better than this Rox. Why not provide free wifi without any strings attached? Like a proper hotel....
