Many thanks to all who came along to our Open Day on the 26th of May. We were lucky to have a very busy day with fantastic weather and lots of things in bloom. Our next Open Day will be held on the 7th of July from 10.30am-3pm and we have lots of new plants available and lots in flower too.

We'll be at the Lairhillock BBQ with a variety of plants this afternoon!

The first of our Open Days for the year is coming up this Saturday. We look forward to seeing all who can come along!

Tomorrow is a plantaholic's dream, not one, but two of the very best plant sales on, both with rare and unusual plants, and a range of hardy alpines, grasses, ferns, herbaceous, climbers and shrubs at both. So why not make it along to both! Crathes in the Walled Garden from 10.00am - 5pm and the Duthie Park Winter Gardens, along the long Victorian Corridor from 11.30 - 3.30pm. Hope to see you all there, we have a large selection of plants for sale at both venues. jx

British Dragonfly Society Yesterday at 13:23 · #Mentalhealthawarenessweek The NHS estimate that 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in our lifetime. But did you know that volunteering and spending time in nature can help to improve mental wellbeing significantly? One study by The Wildlife Trusts found that 95% of participants with low wellbeing at the start reported an improvement in 6 weeks of volunteering with them. If you'd like to volunteer with us please do get in touch! We've also heard many first hand accounts of how wildlife watching can be therapeutic such as the fantastic blogs by Bird Therapy: https://birdtherapy.blog/ So what better excuse to go for a walk, look out the window and just connect with nature in some way everyday. We personally reccomend watching dragonflies and damselflies 🙂

Our Open Days are a fantastic opportunity to purchase our wide selection of plants, including our new selection of trees, shrubs, roses, climbers, perennials, grasses and ferns this year. Meet us and other keen gardeners, garden designers, enjoy a cup of tea and home bakes from our local guild, browse craft stalls and gardening bric-a-brac. Solstice Nurseries is a not for profit organisation, we work with people who are recovering from mental health issues. We grow People and Plants! We are dog friendly! Admission by donation.
