SPEAR Physio Ashley and Katie taking good care of the runners on Saturday at the midnight Aberdeen Runway Run, where not 1 but 3 course records were broken! Superb effort from all the runners. We read this on the page and think it’s worth some proper #MondayMotivation “... making that choice to choose health and fitness does not come easy. Setting goals creates a journey for us all to embark upon. Reaching the destination is just part of that journey...” #teamSPEAR

We reckon the Aberdeen Runway Run runners and the Westhill 10k runners could take some race-day-motivation from these posters⬇️! Great job from the students at Westhill Primary School. Any other words of wisdom you’d be sharing with the runners? Tell us! #teamSPEAR

🧮the countdown is on for the Westhill 10k this Sunday, 23 June and one of the biggest problem areas we hear about from runners is their calf muscles🦵 - that tight feeling when you run or after a race? It's worth watching this you tube video from SPEAR Physio James and Isla showing you how to stretch those calf muscles ⬇️ #teamSPEAR

🎥 SPEAR Pilates exercises of the month, lift and lower / side kick combination 👉 one for working the outer glutes on the top hip and some core strength and stability! SPEAR Physio-led Pilates instructor, Siobhan shows you how in this video ⬇️. We recommend trying this 3-4 times a week and to do once on each side until you feel like you will lose control of your pelvis staying still or it becomes tired (it will feel like the muscles had worked) #teamSPEAR #SPEARPilates

Did you hear the SPEAR and Amy Maclean Podiatry chat on Original 106 FM this morning? The mention is lovely, but even better is the dream team reference; the one where the patient comes in to see a physio with a pain or problem and the team in clinic consult in order to get them moving and pain free again! A brilliant example of how we run the SPEAR clinics #teamSPEAR

📢All the best to the Women's Scotland National Team playing in their first ever FIFA Women's World Cup! It is fantastic how far women’s football has come over the years and to see it on the BBC is even better. Delighted to see Aberdeen’s Rachel Corsie in the team too, inspiring the next generation - goose bumps watching Scotland in their first World Cup! #FIFAWWC

🎉 feel good Friday! Don’t know if that’s a thing, but we are so proud of Nicola and her friends who took part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk to raise money for our Step Ahead classes for Neuro physio patients. Craig (pictured in the middle) is one of our patients and Nicola’s brother! So much love for this, thank you all. #teamSPEAR
