This Saturday at The Coffee House: Aberdeen's jazziest, funkiest, hotclub-iest, poppiest guitar duo! Los Acousticos Bandidos are Colin Black and Scott Cruickshank, two of Aberdeen's busiest musicians. Separately they play in every kind of band under the sun, from Ska to hotclub, swing, funk, ceilidh, jazz and theatre pits, but together their eclectic mix of styles blend into an exciting fusion of jazz, funky pop, and balladry played with zest on their two battered acoustic guitars. The BEST coffee I have had !!

User

Really nice place. I love the live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.

It can be busy time to time and might need to join to a large table.

My girlfriend don't eat bread and the kitchen made a salad version of the sandwich. It was really great, I would offer it as a regular meal.

User

Popped into The Coffee House today for lunch. Was a horrible rainy day in Aberdeen but as soon as you walk in the door it is beautifully decorated with lovely back ground music and twinkly lights. Food was amazing too!!!

User

My favourite cafe in Abereen!

I always come here for the great coffee and either a cake or a scone.

I highly recommend the scones. They are the best you can find, and they always have new versions such as cranberry and chocolate or apple and cinnamon!

The staff is great and super friendly, and the atmosphere inside the cafe is relaxed, warm and welcoming.

Keep up the good work

User

Lovely place, the staff were great. The food and drinks were spot on. I like that we can help ourseves to a bottle of water and glasses for the table as I spent quite a while here getting coursework done. I will be back soon for more study sessions and coffee :)

User

Lovely cafe. Had the soup and sandwich meal deal for lunch which was excellent value for money and really nice. Hot chocolate was delicious also. Staff very friendly and efficient.

User

Love it here, will always stop by whenever Im in Aberdeen

If you're planning your #vacation in #Scotland, come to #Aberdeen, find The Coffee House Hotel & have a marvalous holiday experience: best fresh bio food, gluten free pies &cookies made in house, home made soft bread, excellent coffee, concerts with spicy local musicians, lovely, warm & super clean sleeping rooms, super-trupper young team with joyful &relaxed energy aaaand tastiest breakfast in town!

User

I ve been to Aberdeen twice in last 1.5 year for almost 8 months in total. Among all cafes I visited here, Coffee house is the best place undoubtedly for coffee and wide variety of cakes:) they do food and drinks too. Place is cozy and staff is very friendly and welcoming (specially girls ;)) I used to visit Coffee house frequently. Staff is so friendly and they treated me (free ) with my fav Latte, with lot of cream on top and yummy apricot cake on my last day I.e today Isn’t great I was so moved by their hospitality it’s a must go place, highly recommended I always enjoyed it and I m sure I will visit it again soon in my next visit keep it up guys, u ppl are doing great xxxx

Excellent food and drink - the best piece of bannoffe pie I think I've ever had! And the sandwiches don't come with a 'salad garnish' they come with a full salad! Lovely atmosphere - can see why it is so popular. Could become a regular place to visit when in Aberdeen!

User

A hidden gem. Nice because something different than other hotel venues. Nice bathroom & tub. Bathrooms are new. Only 7 rooms to this hotel. When we stayed here only been open 6 months. Coffee House Cafe is attached to the hotel. Charming & artsy hotel.

User

Like a lot of good eateries CH suffers at busy times - with people taking seats before they place their orders. Added to which the great British reserve means that table sharing is difficult for some folk.

Get past this and the food is great. Lots of vegan celiac and dietary options available, if the service sometimes seems a little fragmented. The soup is freshly made (and you can tell) with sandwiches made up to order, and great cakes to finish.

There are also beers available.

And don't forget to ask for a card to collect for some free food.

User

Lovely roomy place, nice ambiance. Although managed to get one choice each of vegan soup, sandwich and a piece of cake, there was no vegan main course option. Well, there was one on the board, but it wasn't available!(?)

User

I was being served by a guy who chatted to a customer behind me the whole time. I asked for a slice of Victoria sandwich and he corrected me to call it Victoria sponge when he clearly knew what l meant. Incidentally Victoria sandwich is the correct name. Customer service not great to be honest.

User

I thoroughly enjoy the food and coffee. The Carrot Cake is delicious as are most of the caked. (Gingerbread)

However every time I have been in (and this is multiple times) the staff seem to see serving customers as an inconvenience. Not so much as a smile. It amazes me why some people work in such people orientated jobs.

Other than That, great food and nice atmosphere once you are sitting down.

User

Came in at about 3pm on Saturday. Obviously had been very busy for lunch, however no tables had been cleared. Dirty plates and half eaten food everywhere, had to clear our own space. The coffee and cakes are good but maybe an extra table clearer over busy lunchtimes would give you even happier customers.

User

Been in twice and the coffee and cake are good, however on both occasions I've asked for an extra hot coffee. Still waiting for it. The coffee house gets one more try, then binned if they can't give the customers what they want.

User

Staff were pleasant however I ordered a breakfast item which was an egg toastie. It took 15 minutes to arrive and there only 4 people in the place, and when it arrived it was egg mayonnaise rather than a fried egg which I assumed it was as it was on the breakfast menu and didn't state it was egg mayonnaise like it did under the lunch items. I was offered a refund so they did resolve the situation which is why I gave it a 2 rather than 1 star.
