Went here for first time today, couldn’t fault it at all, good food for your money, excellent service.

Didn’t catch the lady’s name but she was always making sure we was ok and was very good with my son. Deffo be back. Thank you.

User

Went for lunch yesterday for my mums birthday and we were very impressed as we had lovely food, the service was good and everyone was pleasant. The restaurant is lovely decorated and the ambiance food. Will definitely be back for a celebration or just passing. Would recommend

User

We were in last night for a meal to celebrate my 40th birthday. The staff were fantastic, couIdnt do enough for us. I ordered the Yorkshire pud wrap, wow it was AMAZING and the chocolate flake cheesecake was to die for! Can highly recommend. Thank you for making our evening a great one will certainly be back really soon.

User

We were at the Harbour Springs for Christmas Lunch. We had a lovely time. The food was, on the whole, delicious. One of our party had the goats cheese soufle followed by the nut roast, another had the tomato soup and turkey dinner, whilst I had the tomato potato boats followed by the marinated duck, which was just a treat. The only things that put us off a little are, the yorkshire puds were massive (didn’t take because of this) and it would have been nice to have one or two other options for kids eg. plain sausages. The children in our party even received a wrapped gift each at the table, which was a nice touch. All the staff were cheerie and aproachable which enhanced the enjoyment of the day. Well done Harbour Springs, and thank you.

User

Was there with my family for a meal for my sons 21st, could not fault the food or the staff! Will definitely be back! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

User

Was here for Mum's birthday on Sunday, they were happy to keep a helium birthday balloon from Saturday to keep it a surprise, even though the balloon was alot bigger than I thought it was going to be when I bought it!!! They managed to find space somewhere to keep it!! We all had the carvery which was lovely, staff polite & helpful and very reasonable prices, can't fault it! xx

User

Took my daughter for her birthday and the food was delicious and they took her cake out and sang happy birthday to her to say the stafd were amazing and food was well cooked.. Will definitley come back for a carvery x

User

Tasty food and very friendly staff.

Haven't been disappointed yet, but you must sort out your contactless payments.

Not sure if there are many people who uses watch for payments everywhere, but I forgot how my wallet and cards look like. Not an issue, as a friend paid for my meal. Anyways its easier when your contactless works ;)

User

Hi, I won a competition for 2 steak dinners which I gave to my Ma & Da. They said it was very good. I also went for supper and found it very tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to all.

User

Had a great meal tonight thanks very much Gary we will Defo be returning now xx

User

Great place and fantastic food friendly staff.. New management a CV has been sent via messenger and handed one into bar last week for Kevin Woods

User

Been there tonight fabulous meal good service value for money staff was very friendly be sure to go back soon

User

Went with mother today.. a regular place she likes.. waiter was a tall lad with tattoos. Fantastic service very polite and helpfull. Well done x

User

We were out tonight 7 adults .We couldn't fault the place .Food was great value for money .Most of us had the cavery .The staff couldn't be more helpful .It was my mothers birthday so we took out a cake .They came out with the cake after the main courses all sliced up and even sang happy birthday to my mother .As l say l couldn't fault the food and the staff were excellent .We'll certainly go back .

User

The place is warm and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. They didn't have the fish my husband asked for, but were apologetic. They need to get from a central supplier which is a shame being in Peterhead they could get some great fresh fish. The food came quickly and was warm, the serving size was much bigger than I was expecting.

User

Steak was good! No jacket potatoes and that was early at 6pm so offered boiled spuds or mash, so ok meal.

The cheesecake and jam roly poly was good... but didn't whisk me back to my younger days im afraid. Staff really pleasant.

User

Service really really slow. Stood waiting at the bar to place an order for over 10mins. Place was quiet.

Absolutely No use when you have kids needing fed.

Some staff are ok but most lack enthusiasm.

Food was ok, but not the best. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The Yorkshire’s like cement. The roast tatties like Logs, Veg over cooked and mushy, gravy like water, no cutlery on tables,

THE ONLY saving grace was the Puddings were lovely.

I Notice lots of negative reviews & its a little concerning when there is no response from management in the comments???

User

Been here a few times now, the food is alright nothing special, as someone who works in the industry I have a few issues here.

1st the so called 'servers' tell you to go to the bar to order meals and drinks, so I ask why are you calling your self a 'server' when you don't serve the table?

2nd every time I have been I have had to ask for the salts and pepper pots to be cleaned as they are always dirty, the menus are usually covered in food and sticky finger prints.

And 3rd most of the staff are lovely, but there are a small hand full that could do with being told to smile and told how to talk to costumers. If the few points can be sorted then I can see it being an alright place for a meal out on a slight budget.

User

We came at 4.30pm and the carvery was really poor. Roast potatoes were just a soggy mash sitting in a half inch of fat. Very nice servers but apparently it was our fault for coming before 5pm when food is replaced. Same price though! Had I known I would have waited.

User

Had the carvery today and the chef couldn’t have cut the meat any thinner if he tried! I’ve had thicker peices of wafer thin ham before bit of a joke really when you have to fill up on potatoes and veg and its over £8 each.

User

Food wasn't great but wasn't the worst. Service was the main issue. Waited for almost 20min to get refill of soft drink and then over 30mins for deserts. We ended up just leaving before desert came. Told bar staff we were leaving as desert was taking far to long, they offered us to take it away in a doggie bag....... One of the deserts was an ice-cream sundae?!? Waiting staff then told us that we should have got their attention to say our deserts hadn't came, sorry not my responsibility to remind you how to do your job. I would fully understand if it was packed and super busy but it was empty. Won't be returning.

User

1st time here today with my partner. After a 40 minute wait, I was annoyed to find a hair in my food, I told the waitress who was very helpful and offered me a meal replacement. Also Lynn came over to talk to us and gave us a refund of my meal and offered us free desserts and teas/coffees which was very kind of her. However as we had already complained, we didn't like to say that the food wasn't that great, the best part was the free dessert. Some of the staff lacked enthusiasm too. We will not be recommending the Harbour Spring to our friends and family but a thank you to Lynn anyway.

User

When I first tried here I left a 5 * review, now I've changed it to a 1. The service was shocking as soon as we set foot in the door, no one came over to take greet us or take us to our table. The table wasnt even set up with cutlery and napkins. We got refill juice which no-one even came over to ask if we wanted refills and it takes about 2 hours to even get acknowledged at the bar so wasn't even going to bother going up to ask. We all had the carvery which was shocking. The roast tatties were full of oil, soggy and tasteless. The Yorkshire pudding was actually unbelievable never seen a yorkie like it. I seriously thought it was a soggy, uncooked tattie scone. Not one member of staff even said bye as we left...

User

Went there with my 3 kids service was good food was good until my daughter found a dead caterpillar in her salad . She got a free pudding out of it but the people didn't seem to care absolutely shocking

User

Went in tonight for a Carvery to be told that they stopped serving it at 20:00. It was 20:05!!!

I watched the server take away the food from the carvery counter which I am assuming was going in the bin...... not impressed!!!!

User

This place is awful. I've been twice and both times was disappointing!

First visit our food was cold.

Second visit it took them an hour and 5 minutes to make three lunches that were picked from the "light bite" menu!

Poor service,

Staff need training in customer relations and what's worse I've emailed the manager both times and still waiting for a reply...

take my advice keep your money and steer clear.

User

The service is really slow for the amount off staff that they have on an for the amount of tables. I have been a few times but on Monday was defiantly my last time. Order was placed it 12 had prawn cocktail to start with came out 20 mins later. Took 10 mins for table to get cleared for my main meal to not be out til 10 past 1. They put through wrong size of Gammon got told it 12:45 just be 5 mins to cook other 1. Plate swimming in oil. Friend had cottage pie she had to put it back as it was raw. For new manager to come an say they don't cook the food an that they only put in oven to heat up. An that it was all the additives. Nope it was raw mince. Working in food my self I know you get complaints from people but never argue with the customer. Can't deny mince being still red. If the matter was dealt alot better than what it was I woudnt be writing this review but think management need better training skills on how to deal with customers. 3 tables over it kids section an out of the 3. 2 tables had to put food back

User

Shit never coming back things are less burned at a crematorium left most of it not been since the first week it opened and to say things have went down hill pigs in blankets more like something wrapped in something black gravy brown water with no taste and turkey was raw roast potatoes where mash pepsi was good any one thinking of going dont

User

Poor service. Waited half an hour before before complaining and the manageress didn't seem interested as was looking after a larger group of people. Food arrived and some of it was luke warm or cold. Gravy was nothing special as advertised. I had the chicken and an upset stomach for 2 days. Won't be back.

User

Poor service. Food was barely luke warm and below par on quality. Won't be going back.

User

Poor poor show and getting worse.... no meat except Turkey available tonight.....no refillable juice....oh and noticed price increases

User

Poor organising at the front of house as they didn't know which tables were free or booked the the lack of waiting staff experience was very clear. We sat at a unwiped table and none of them noticed it was covered in salt!

The turkey and beef was like eating an old leather shoe and the Yorkshire puddings were bland and tasteless. Food was barely hot when it arrived ...needless to say we didn't stay for pudding! £30.30 for two mains and 2 drinks is ridiculous for such poor quality food! Will definetly NOT BE BACK!

User

Never been a big fan of harbour springs but tonight was the worst. Food portion tiny, tasteless and cold. Daughter ordered carvery to be told when getting it there was only dried out beef left. Few things on menu unavailable due to the delivery truck breaking down !! Definitely not worth the money and Will definitely not be back !!!

User

Long wait, three times to get a proper burger, food tepid and not proper orders served

User

I was in a party of 7 ... went in at 6 still waiting for sweet... 1 meal went back 3 times to get it right.... grandson meal came minus potato or veg..... they have just lost out on 2 big bookings

User

Food was horrendous ! Found a mouldy chip under the ones I'd eaten . Chicken was so dry it couldn't be eaten . Manager doesn't care either ! Emailed him several times but got fobbed off with some rubbish or other . Waiting staff were pleasant . Would avoid like the plague if I were you !

User

Avoid avoid avoid! I am only giving 1 star because zero isn’t an option. We came here for a Mother’s Day “treat”. After waiting an hour and a half for food we were told that the food would be out in 10 mins and we could have dessert on the house. This on its own was fair enough. When the food did eventually arrive it was mediocre at best and they had forgotten the vegetarian dish. I then had to wait a further 30 mins for my food to arrive. To add insult to injury the vegetarian dish that had been ordered contained meat. By this point I’d had enough and just wanted to leave. The only saving grace is that staff are pleasant.

Went for lunch yesterday for my mums birthday and we were very impressed as we had lovely food, the service was good and everyone was pleasant. The restaurant is lovely decorated and the ambiance food. Will definitely be back for a celebration or just passing. Would recommend

User
