We are looking for two part-time (job-share) Optical Receptionists to join our team. Working around 15-22.5 hours per week over 2-3 days Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday and extra holiday cover as required.
This role involves the following:
... - Being the first point of contact for the patients, dealing with queries coming into the practice via telephone, email or in person. Assisting where able and directing enquiries to the most appropriate staff member. - Managing the practice appointment diary giving consideration to patient appointment requests and staff availability. - Processing deliveries and collections of stock. - Administration and maintenance of patient records, databases and NHS paperwork. - General housekeeping duties to ensure the practice is clean, tidy and presentable. - Other ad-hoc duties as and when required. We offer an interesting professional environment and are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are well organised and have exceptional interpersonal skills. Previous experience of working in an opticians practice is not essential as full training will be provided.
