there was a group of us who went to see march of the mods last Saturday and we had a brilliant night all the bands that played were amazing especially the moderators who stole the show for me !!

the sound system was top notch and very loud which we loved

there was a couple of bits that let it down slightly was the bar ran out of draught beer so we were having to drink cans and the mens toilets were more like a swimming pool than a toilet but that's it

all in all we loved the night and will definitely be back

We love The Music Cafe, such a brilliant Venue that we hire to run church every Sunday. Amazing staff who are so helpful and kind. Totally recommend hiring their facilities for functions as it's such a versatile space.

One of my favourite venues been to see onyx, jeru and big shug, CL Smooth and Pete rock and Big Daddy Kane and had a top night every time, already got my tickets for Kool G Rap, in my view it's the best hip hop venue in the midlands always a good night with a great atmosphere and they do a good record fair as well

User

Great night, great staff, amazing band, the sound was unreal. The outside area was like being on holiday. First time and we were not disappointed. Will definitely visit again. (Give the toilets some love, it was the only thing letting the place down)

User

Great little venue. The Amy Winehouse tribute last night was brilliant!

User

Great Venue, wonderful staff! One of the most relaxed peaceful environments from a venue.

User

Great Venue, Great People. Been to numerous events here and would highly recommend been going for at least 6 years and never seen any trouble not once. Likeminded down to earth place

User

By far the best venue in Leicester, everyone from the security team to the bar staff are great, proper nice people all round. Great selection of acts. My kids loved the baby rave, and the Sunday radio session. The festival is a great way to enjoy lots of diffent act. VJ knows how to run a venue where you walk in and feel at home.

Best gig for a long time. Aba shanti-I vs channel one sound system.

All the nights I have enjoyed at Music Cafe have been superb from seeing a wide range i things from Burlesque Alternative Circus to World Class Artists e.g. Floetry , Roy Ayers KRS1, Akala a great hub for Black Music not available anywhere else in Leicester recently I love the diverse audiences late bar and opening times sometimes food available I look forward to more fantastic nights out

User

The place is not to bad bit run down but staff pleasant and helpful didn't think the music was proper northern soul the band sounded amazing but felt more ska dont think I will rush to go back

User

Fantastic venue. The sound system was brilliant.

Shame about the toilets. Not only was the floor rotten but was also flooded with god knows. The back of the toilet doors were thick with dust and clearly hadn’t been cleaned for what looked like months. No loo rolls and No hand soap.

Hi. Considering you are such a big venue with a big sound system, the sound man was terrible. We tried to communicate our issues on stage to him, to no avail. And as an audience to sound was woolly with little to no clarity upon the vocals. These are all school boy errors for such and experienced sound man. It makes our job as performers extremely hard considering we put every ounce of energy into the performance. If he blames the equipment it's definitely the man with the problems and not the kit. Our band were not the only owns to mention this to each other, but all three bands struck up this conversation. And some were even furious at his lack of professionalism. If this carry's on it will inevitably drive away your customers and the acts themselves ☹. My sincerest apologies for this frank and honest post, i thought it the best way to communicate our grievances. Good luck in the future. Xx
