About Adhd Solutions Uk

ADHD Solutions is an organisation based in the Midlands (Leicester) helping over 4432 families, and professionals cope with the challenges of ADHD.

Adhd Solutions Uk Description

ADHD Solutions is an independent initiative set up to support children young people and adults who have ADHD, their families, and the professionals who are working with them.

For some this will be empowering parents to restore balance in their home by implementing our behaviour management programme.

For others it may be that we work with a child's school to prevent exclusion and enable them to reach their full potential.

Adolescents often need help and support with understanding their ADHD, life skills, social and study skills, anger management, and preparation for the transition to the adult world.

Our adult clients have often found themselves struggling with organisation, time management and their finances, which can have disastrous consequences both at home and in the work place. By concentrating on individual strengths and identifying areas of concern, we can help our clients overcome these challenges and develop strategies and solutions to become successful partners and parents, hold down a job, become solvent financially, and become successful in all areas of their life.

We aim to provide professionals with factual. well researched, up to date information about ADHD to enable them to have a clearer understanding of the difficulties faced by someone with the condition and a range of strategies to use.

*** DECLARATION***
Art with Heart the theatre company are touring this Autumn for the ADHD production called ‘Declaration’.
Declaration is a fun, frank and fearless journey through ADHD and mental health.
... They will be performing in Leicester on Friday 2nd November 2018 @ Attenborough Arts Centre.
To book your tickets please click on the link below: http://www.artwithheart.org.uk/events/
Instinctive, curious, bold and bouncy, Sarah is a mighty proud square peg - which wouldn’t be such a problem if the hole wasn’t so damn round. Her childhood doctor thought it was sugar. Her current doctor thinks its ADHD. Sarah still feels different, so what will a label do?
Developed in consultation with medical professionals and mental health support groups, Declaration examines the faces we wear to fit in and what happens when we dare to stand out.

Our next 'ALL ABOUT ADHD' session here at our centre is on WEDNESDAY 10TH OCTOBER from 7-9pm.
The session helps to explain a lot of aspects of ADHD e.g. ADHD brain, executive functions, diagnosis, medication etc.
It's ideal for parents/carers and extended family - and for adults who are diagnosed with or who think they may have ADHD.... The course isn't appropriate for your children and young people with ADHD as there are positive and negative things included that may not be helpful for them to hear. Very good for siblings to get a better understanding but ideally they should be aged 16+.
This is a really good starting point for families and works especially well if you can also book onto one of our 1-2-3 Magic behaviour management courses.
All places need to be booked for All About ADHD - although there is no limit on numbers. For more info or to book a place please call 0116 261 0711. The session is free for members otherwise it's £10 per person.

I have been fortunate enough to be involved with ADHD Solutions for 10 years and have seen the positive impact they have had on the families and young people using their services.

Many of the young people have gone on to volunteer and help others in the way they have been supported in the past, a mutually beneficial endeavour for all concerned.

It has been a pleasure to see these young people develop into confident and mature individuals, providing leadership to their peers and the younger group members on the range of activities offered ( the list has become quite extensive, from summer outdoor and adventurous activities to creative activities involving music and arts and crafts).

The team is made up of a highly experienced and caring group of people from a diverse range of professions. Their skills and personalities compliment the service provided.

I would highly recommend their services to anyone who is involved in supporting someone with (or those who have)ADHD.
