Whenever i've visited family in Gresley from Northants my big treat was always fish and chips from Andy's. Over the years the excellent quality has been consistent, the staff always friendly and welcoming and the taste of the food is sublime. I've now moved to Gresley and I was super excited (yes I know i'm sad thank-you LOL) when it dawned on me that I was moving close to Andy's fish bar. I haven't visited as often as i'd like as I don't drive and it's quite a faff getting the food home still warm. I just saw a mention of a delivery service (which I looked for when I first moved) so I will be investigating that and if correct I shall be a proper happy little bunny. Over the summer months i've brought a gaggle of grandchildren over for a 'chippies in the park' treat several times and the staffs patience and cheerful willingness to split portions so they've each got a bit of everything has been super helpful. Thank-you x
Staff are friendly, food is amazing prices are good... what more could I ask for x
My family went for the first time this week since moving to the area from the other side of the country . The place is spotless . All the staff are very polite and the food is fantastic . A1 in my opinion . We have a young daughter and was pleased they provided high chairs and you can eat in at no extra cost . Plus there is baby changing and a toilet. This is one of the best chip shops I have been to and I have been to many ...
Messaged them today as I wanted to take my Mum who is very poorly and has to use a wheelchair to see if it was wheelchair accessible. Promptly responded that they had ramps. Took Mum and we had a lovely meal and the staff could not of been more helpful. We drive over from Burton for the fabulous gluten free options. Fab food fab staff, could not recommend enough
Had a fab visit, the staff are really friendly & helpful. We also tried the new lamb kebab meat & it's amazing. Well worth going to. Fish & chips great. We will be baxk
Great chip shop! Good food & great customer service.
First time at Andy's for me and husband first impression was wow, clean and organised with friendly staff, best pastie and chips I've had in years. We will be back.
Usually I would give 5 stars but had a bad visit tonight. We visit regularly and usually the fish is white and chunky but tonight it smelt, was grey and flakey. I also ordered a pineapple fritter and whilst I got 2 for the same price they weren't great! I'd rather have 1 nice one than 2 mediocre. I also ordered a large chips that was smaller than usual and the curry was lumpy. The latter are more niggles but unfortunately it's human nature to start picking. This isn't our nearest chip shop nor is it the cheapest so it's really disappointing to have to leave this review. Staff okay but JUST okay not OTT with the customer service.
Customer service training is definitely required for at least one member staff. When asked his name I was told very rudely 'you don't need my name I am the only 6ft guy who works here'. Things are not likely to improve as he was training a young lady. The restaurant is not that it is a place to sit and eat your meal from cardboard boxes. Had to eat with my coat on as it was freezing. The food was good though.
