Went yesterday after walking the monsal trail and food was great ,,, just on the wells walk ,, and head back there for more food and drink

Went down for something to eat last night ...left it a little late really ...probably about 5 min before the time they finished serving ..But was made to feel very welcome ordered our food ....lamb shank which was amazing,and the dessert was fantastic...Staff and landlady were very friendly .....Been a change of ownership .....definetly for the better.... they've really turned this little pub around .....we will definetly be back and recommend it to our friends.... definetly 5 stars .

Stayed overnight in our campervan. Lovely setting along the river,very quiet. Staff very friendly and welcoming and food excellent. Selection of great ales also. I'm sure we'll make a point of returning

Original pub in small hamlet - fantastic beer, great food and service. 2 mins from Monsal Trail.

Nice food and well kept real ale. Well worth a visit.

Me and the dog dropped down from the Monsal Trail for a rest stop, very welcoming dog friendly pub, beer was good and we had the very reasonably priced steak sarnie. Staff were really nice and mad a quick lunch stop a real pleasure.

Will stop in again next time we’re on the trail.

Lovely pub with friendly staff. The food was delicious and we were allowed to stop over in our campervan in the car park Amazing to wake up next to the river with the sound of birdsong.

Lovely food, fresh veg, great service & reasonably priced, will definately go again.

Had a lovely lunch here. Hot roast beef sandwich, tasty and great value plus we don't wait too long for it. Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere

Excellent Real Ale , very good pub food a reasonable prices.

More important extreamly friendly and welcoming, to all inc kids and dogs.

Will definitely spend many happy times here this summer.

Lovely riverside setting and good food menu in the pub.

Called in here after walking the monsal trail with the dog. Very welcoming. Landlady took the time to play fetch with the dog in the dog & hikers room. Excellent food, excellent staff & service was top notch. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night in our motorhome lovely setting staff very welcoming and the food was lovely, set next to the river would go again

Nice little pub in a lovely setting with great food & beer went back as first time we went was a lovely bar girl who was very friendly but the woman behind the bar(short grey hair) today was very rude & you felt uncomfortable & therefore will not return.

Lovely place used the anglers many times back in the1980s,worked on a refurbishment there on nights after the place was shut down and used it in the late 90s and into the early new century.Returned on the 25th this year early dinner time and found a still fantastic place to have a nice simple menu, warm greeting and just friendly people.
