Ann Davison Lactation Consultant Ibclc Description

I have been supporting mums to breastfeed their babies since 2001 and have been an IBCLC, Lactation Consultant since 2007. I will carefully to understand what is important to you and we use this as the starting point to overcome challenges and make breastfeeding as stressfree and comfortable as possible.

Home visits are charged at £75 if you live within 20 miles of Northampton. I am happy to travel further and would charge a little more for mileage and the additional time involved.

What a powerful image. Scroll down and read her words.

Having significantly more milk than you baby needs can seem like a good thing but it can be a challenge to manage too much milk. So what are you options?

I am looking forward to being a guest speaker at the first of The Mother Life sessions. Emma-Jane Cunningham is giving away some free places, have a look and see how to take part.

The support and encouragement of other mums who are breastfeeding can make such a difference to your breastfeeding journey. Highly recommended.

I am really looking forward to coming along to this lovely new group on 29th June.

This made me think of the message of Rev. Michael Curry's address at the Royal Wedding on love.
There is always more to learn as a Lactation Consultant to ensure we are there for all the families who need our support.

I am pretty sure one of Megan's co-stars is breastfeeding her baby, bottom right?

This is so true. However, many families feel a pressure from society that can pull them away from this type of connection, the 'good baby' myth is very strong.

I had a play around with making a little video..

This live session tonight with Wendy Jones author of "Breastfeeding and Medication" should be very interesting.

Without Ann I would have stopped breastfeeding within a week. The minute I met her she was so calm and friendly and totally put me at ease, which was such a relief. We spent time investigating our feeding issues and Ann was great. She had lots of relevant advice and really understood how I was feeling as a brand new first time Mum. The after support has been great too; I’ve been able to ask those nagging questions that pop in your head during a 3am night feed. Highly recommend Ann.

If it were not for Ann I would have given up feeding both my girls. I completely lacked confidence and didn’t have a clue how to begin with breastfeeding. Ann gently nurtured myself and my daughters through our breastfeeding journeys. Thank you Ann for making breastfeeding possible.

If it wasn’t for Ann visiting me at home with my first child on day 5 I would not have been able to feed my first boy till 12 months as I simply didn’t know how to and didn’t get the right support in hospital. Now nearly 8 months into feeding baby no 2. Definitely something that need I needed to be shown how to do. Thank you Ann x
