Throwback to my Barnsdale days over 2 years ago training clients. Using the leg extension to execute hip thrusts. Great exercise to hit glutes 🍑
So this is happening. Should be fun. Hope my clients don't mind carrying me round 😂

CARDIO FOR FAT LOSS(IMO)
A common question I get asked is "what's the best cardio for fat loss?".
The answer is simple - there isn't one. Yes, there are studies to show that HIIT (High intensity interval training) and LISS (Low intensity steady state) are better than each in their own way.
... However, dropping body fat is mainly down to calories in vs. calories out. So, in order to drop body fat your main focus needs to be controlling your calorie intake (whilst taking in to account your proportions of different macro and micro nutrients) and increasing your energy expenditure.
But the first response as a coach to a client is to ask that individual what they like and currently do.
This is because the chances are that an individual is more likely to consistently do a type of cardio that they enjoy rather than, for example, getting them to do an hour walking on a treadmill. If you enjoy doing Zumba then carry on, if you like playing a sport then keep doing it.
As well as regularly training in the gym, I also choose to play basketball once a week for 1-2 hours. It gets my heart rate up, is quick and explosive and the most important factor - I ENJOY IT! Which means I'm more likely to consistently do it.
Fat loss is a lifestyle change more than anything else and cardio is a tool which you use to help that.

Nice little superset today 💪
Becky hitting dips for reps tonight 💪
When Becky first started with me her goal was to improve her upper body strength. An initial goal was just to manage a full press up. This was quickly ticked off.
... So we then went for dips next. Starting with a band for abit of help first. Then progressively decreasing the assistance of the band until a full body weight dip was done 👌😀
Press ups ✅ Dips ✅ Body weight deadlift ✅
Pull ups next... nearly there
Awesome job Becky 👍
