The staff were really friendly and nice. The food was amazing and the ice cream was fantastic.

Stopped today for ice creams , girls really helpful as. I'm dairy free and let me try the sorbet before buying the chocolate was lush , will be back !

Stopped for breakfast and it was the best uk breakfast iv had, definitely worth a try! Ice cream is amazing too x

Cappuccino ice cream was great. There's a lot more choice now in ice cream as well as other foods and drink. The outside looks a lot more appealing and child friendly, although more activities for kids would draw a lot more trade!

Absolutely wonderful ice-creams.

2 Salted Caramel and 1 Chocolate is a desert to die for.

I used to visit here all the time as a little girl , now every once in a while, it's not what it used to be.

This place is Going down hill .

Not as nice as last year. Now have more flavours than last month but only basic wafer cones available, and it was stale wafer. Shame.

2 stars only due to the poor lady behind the counter working her butt off. Even though it's half term and you generally have to travel to get there they were out of stock of a lot. The milkshake machine and coffee machine were out of order. No chocolate, milk chocolate chip or black cherry ice cream just to name a few. A very disappointing visit. Will not be rushing back.

Your lying to the public..... that's shop bought ice cream and the area needs cleaning up. . Dog crap and litter everywhere.. groce

We went today, only one other car in the car park on a hot sunny day!! There was no wonder because the ice cream we had was awful..... I will not be back in any hurry

This is so different to what applebys ice cream used to be it can only be a cheap alternative will not visit again

Terrible icecream just tastes like water/ice. Not like how it used to be rich and creamy. Even the cone was soft with no crunch! Used to love going to Appleby 's when I was a kid but unfortunately I can't say that now, just all round terrible icecream waste of money!

Stopped off for a coffee today 14th November. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Asked for a latte and a cappuccino they both looked like instant coffee out of a jar. Both looked the same but in different glasses. The girl behind the counter blamed the milk. ( poor excuse) . Also the seating area looked as if it had not been cleaned for quite a while. Overall not a pleasant experience. Would not go back. ( I had to give 1 star because no stars was not an alternative )

Seriously rubbish! Vanilla ice cream that tastes just like ice... Cones soggy and the place is really dated and smelly! Outside isn't much butter. I'll avoid in future. Not for us!

My fiancee and I decided to treat ourselves today, so took a thirty minute drive to Applebys Ices, a place we both remember fondly from our youth.



Not since Rolf Harris got caught with a DVD copy of Under Threes Down On Their Knees has a part of my childhood been so severely ruptured.



It started when we found ourselves queuing out the door. At first we assumed it was because the place is so popular, but as we progressed further into the shop we realised that it was due to the two members of staff moving so slowly they were in danger of travelling back in time.



Moments before our turn came up a woman - presumably the owner - came waddling out from the back. It was instantly clear that the woman was stressed and had an attitude problem. She told the sloths that there was no more change (and the greedy bas... ahem... beggars won't invest in a card reader), so "if they ant got the right munny, ya cant serve em".



As if we weren't even there.



All I had was a tenner, so we tried to work out how to buy a tennersworth of icecream. We settled on two £4 waffle cones and a drink.



The Prisoner Cell Block H extra asked what we wanted, then informed us there were no more waffle cones. I explained we only had a ten pound note, and her somewhat surly suggestion was that we buy two small cones with an extra scoop in each for £3.50. I assume that the £3 change would have been an IOU. Or - if the Food Standards Review is anything to go by - three quidsworth of e-coli sprinkled on top.



So to recap... no card reader, no change, not enough stock to make a purchase that didn't require change, appallingly slow service and a proprieter who would give Freddy Krueger a nightmare.



Try Brigsley. Nice people, change, lovely ice cream.



Or stay home and push broken glass into your rectum. Either option is more pleasant than going to Applebys Ices.

Just so so disappointing! Drove from Barton upon Humber to visit this gem of my youth! Good god what a disgrace! Filthy dirty depressing!



Worse, the ice cream is NOT the original product tasteless vanilla, pointless chocolate! Ok if you wanted artificial illuminated mint or bubblegum!



This business was and still could be a goldmine! It is on the way to 2 large holiday parks and coastal holidays!



If you intend to ruin a day out make sure you have the correct cash as the notice inside states you may not be served if you don't!



What a bloody disgrace, let down and embarrassment!

Haven't been here for a while and must say how disappointed I am. Outside very run down, smelly in the shop and ice cream not as good as it used to be. Not be coming back

Can't believe how different this place is now, total waste of money, think it would be best if they do close down because they really can't be bothered anymore

Been here a few times with family/friends but not been since last summer so we went for a 20 minute drive to get there hardly an flavour choice where has all the nice waffle cones and chocolate covered cones gone just basic single or double cones now when we did get our ice cream very small portions that are very over priced and they where awful we could not tell the difference between toffee and rasberry ripple - strawberry tasted fake and the chocolate was full of ice lumps - a wasted 20 min drive out we will not be back scoops on the sea front is way nicer and cheaper and you get free sprinkles and flake x
