Wow! Absolutely amazing food excellent service and attention to detail thank you for a perfect evening!

We went to the assembly restaurant last night for the valentines menu. The food was absolutely superb, the beef Wellington melted in your mouth it was so tender, the desserts were outstanding and the attention to detail exceptional. Service was perfect from the moment we entered and the price was extremely reasonable (I would have been quite happy to pay more) we will definitely be back again soon

Visited Assembly room for brunch this morning, food was excellent, staff were very attentive, would definitely recommend this place.

Our original booking was cancelled due to the chef being ill-something totally unavoidable. The individual that contacted me was full of apologies and kindly offered us 20% off our next booking and so we booked in for last night. The food was amazing, staff were great, and knowledgeable about what they were serving. Lovely surroundings and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Thanks guys, we will definitely be back!

Our first visit to this restaurant, we had Sunday lunch which was excellent,the service and the food were first class. We highly recommended this restaurant and will definitely be back again.

Had afternoon tea today, our server Michael was very attentive and explained the food incredibly well, considering I’m an incredibly fussy eater.. the food was outstanding everything was completely moreish! Cocktails were again beautiful and we were served quickly and they were lovely! Will be back very soon. Stunning place and the staff are a credit to the place! ��

Had afternoon tea today with a friend on the rooftop terrace, the food was lovely and the restaurant itself is finished to a very high standard. It was lovely to sit with the roof open but still warm with heaters, something new to carlisle, I highly recommend and will certainly be back �

First visit on Sunday with a large party. Food was excellent and very attentive service. Lovely selection of wine and cocktails and very friendly bar staff. The electric roof on the terrace is a great addition and the whole place is beautifully decorated. We will definitely be regular customers

Fantastic creative food with every mouthful a taste sensation! Wonderful staff and service in a gorgeous environment; thank you, my daughter had a lovely birthday evening! And didn’t even raise an eyebrow when my youngest lay on the sofa in the middle of the room! Almost forgot, amazing value too!

A table four eating on tasting menu. Halibut dish was personal favourite. This place is going places and a must try definitely be back again!! Thanks again for a night of great food and great service highly recommend!!

I came today with 3 friends for afternoon tea, what we got was nice but there wasn’t a lot compared to other places I’ve been where there’s usually a little left over to take home, also says on the online menu what you should get but never got all of what was stated online.I found the service very slow considering the place wasn’t very busy, and no one came to check if we ok or would like more drinks etc. However the setting is lovely and very clean.

Ambience and food excellent, in our experience, service lacking.

Afternoon tea was lovely, but service was poor. We were never once asked if everything ok or if we needed anything else and we had to ask ourselves for more tea well after finishing our afternoon tea. We had to sit for a while waiting for the tea to begin with.



Staff were pleasant enough but for the type of restaurant this is, I would have expected more attentiveness. The restaurant wasn’t busy but there were plenty of staff who seemed to stay in the empty restaurant inside rather than the rooftop terrace where the customers were.
