✨Community ✨ One of the things I love most about my job is watching the BabyZen community develop and thrive. I love watching women come together and raise each other up, supporting each other through the tough times of sleep deprivation, teething woes or worries about returning to work, whilst also celebrating the highs of motherhood and all the wonderful experiences it brings. I love that no matter what type of person you are be it an introverted shy type who may be attendi...ng a group for the first time or the bubbly, chatty type who loves trying every class going, you can be sure that you'll be accepted without question and made to feel welcome. I've worked alongside the BabyZen community to develop other sources of support such as the closed Facebook group BabyZen Stars, WhatsApp groups and coffee and chat meet up at Starbucks all of which are designed to bring mums together, create friendships and prevent isolation. Tuesdays at Croyland Nursery School and Day Nursery and Thursdays at Highfield Nursery School! You can sit with us! I remember so well attending baby groups with my second child who was a very unsettled little chap who would become easily over stimulated and upset. I remember so many times leaving those groups in tears as I felt judged by the other people there. Now after coming through the sleep deprived fog of the early years I realise that that may not have been the case and that those other mums may have been looking at me with sympathy and comradeship but at the t...ime it didn't feel that way. In fact those experiences led me into a time of isolation, at home in my comfort zone I felt safe. Fast forward a few years and I have never forgotten those feelings and I'm so proud of the non-judgemental atmosphere that is at the centre of all BabyZen groups. It's so important to me that mums can access the groups and feel safe and supported. No matter what I guarantee you a friendly face and a hot cuppa 😊☕

On Friday the babies had an amazing time exploring the beautiful rainbow 🌈 themed messy play that Chloe had made for them! Our usual room was being used for training but we were very lucky and got to use the beautiful Baby Room at Croyland Nursery School and Day Nursery ❤️ We even got to use their amazing garden thanks to the lovely weather! 🌞 BabyZen classes are now having a break for the half term but we will be back on Tuesday 4th June! 💕

I was so excited and honoured to be asked to go into my little boy's nursery and do a yoga session with the children! We used yoga poses to tell the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 The children amazed me with their beautiful energy and focus! They really loved it! I love all the groups I teach at BabyZen, they all bring a different dynamic and vibe but Relax Together group has a special place in my heart. Relax Together group was born from the isolation, anxiety and loneliness that I experienced after having my second child. I never felt comfortable going to baby groups and home became our comfort zone. After coming through that experience I was determined to create a group that was warm, nurturing and non-judgemental, a safe space fo...r women to share the highs and lows of motherhood. And from the feedback I've received over the last year that's exactly what Relax Together has become. I'm always blown away by womens' capacity to support each other and form lasting bonds of friendship from nothing more than the fact they all have children. It can support development in both fine and gross motor skills, help with muscle strength and balance and develop co-ordination!
