Bardi Symphony Orchestra Description
The Bardi Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 30th Anniversary season in 16 /17!
Founded in 1986 by Andrew Constantine, the Bardi has only gone from strength to strength. Now, 30 years later under the baton of renowned Danish conductor, Claus Efland, the orchestra performs high quality classical music with soloists such as Craig Ogden, Nikolai Demidenko, Tamsin Waley-Cohen and Natalie Clein. Recent collaborations have seen the orchestra perform with other local Leicestershire groups such as the Leicester Philharmonic Choir, the Leicestershire Chorale and the Leicester Bach Choir.
This anniversary season will see the orchestra tackle new challenges – Elgar’s masterwork ‘The Dream of Gerontius’, a live screening of a Charlie Chaplin film, the entire ‘Firebird’ ballet and many other remarkable works. Come and join us at our resident concert venue, De Montfort Hall, Leicester!
