Not long now until the Rolling Stones at Twickenham stadium! If you're in the mood for soaking up some of the musical history of Twickenham might we suggest visiting us at the Barmy Arms, just a stone's throw (no pun intended) from where the band played on Eel Pie Island. If the stories are too be believed, the place where the boys drank a few pints and might have even written Sympathy for the Devil (the jury's still out on that one, but we like to believe it's true!)
Along with visiting us here we would definitely urge you to visit the Eel Pie Island Museum as well before the gig, where you can find out the amazing music history of the island where it all started. Happy Birthday to their brilliant curator Michelle!
From a great selection of gin to wine, cocktails to beer…….we have something for everyone. Come and join us this Bank Holi-yay weekend! Cheers 🍻
This evening the Barmy hosted the Dallaglio Cycle Slam send off, with an appearance of the man himself!

This Sunday it's Ben & Frankie again, haven't had them play for a while so it'll be great to have the boys back again! Then on Monday afternoon Paul Bowen's fabulous blues will be gracing us again, so should be a brilliant long weekend (fingers crossed for some sunshine too!)
Come and enjoy a pint and a boogie with us 🎵🎶🍺

Went for a roast, unbelievably good service, very attentive staff they made us feel like we were in a home from home! Great food for a fantastic price. Nice one.
Was a lovely vintage bar, right by the river. Perfect for a evening out, enjoyed my time at Barmy Arms, can't wait to go there again very soon. Geraldine.
Outstanding family pub - cracking location with heaps of character:) Head there on rugby days for that Special atmosphere or use it for that quiet sociable drink when the sun shines - Eveyone is always warmly welcomed 👏👏👍😃
I hadn't been to the Barmy Arms for a while today was a trip to see Frankie Connolly play, what an amazing afternoon we had the land lord Alex was welcoming as were the staff, the pub has been recently refurbished , one of the prettiest pubs and on the river!!! The customers helped to put the icing on the cake what a beautiful bunch they were. Thank you so much, we will be back very soon. X
Great pub shame I couldn’t make it there today. The Landlord seems to be a no nonsense man bar staff very helpful food looks great.
Brilliant lively pub to visit after the rugby. Back again after the Army vs Navy game :0)
Went for a few drinks just before heading up to see U2 in concert. It was very very busy but managed to get a good spot just before it got busy. Good service and excellent food even though they took an hour and a half to get it (they just couldn't cope with the sheer volume of people because of the concert) but it was worth the wait.
Nice pub and ales by the river
Nice place! River setting.. plenty of seating.
Had a great few hours in the pub prior to watching the Army V Navy rugby match. A good crowd in the pub, both Army and Navy, no hassles at all and good banter with good beers enjoyed.
Great place to drink prior to the game.
Always love going to the Barmy Arms as the atmosphere is fantastic especially when theres music on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Just wish they could employ some clued up bar staff!
Disappointing new menu! No children's menu so ordered some very over-priced fish and 'triple cooked' chips. When they arrived the chips were dark brown in colour and tasted bitter like burnt oil. One virtually untouched meal, one unhappy child and £14 down the drain!
Amazing location. Food was ok, though the veggies were a bit hard. Staff were polite but not very attentive. Asked for a dessert menu which never arrived so we left and went to Costa for coffee & cake instead.
Always go here for a pint on a rugby day good atmosphere but yesterday 26.05.18 was a nightmare to get served a pint of beer se we went to the fox in the high street and got served straight away
The location is lovely along the riverside but the food was terrible, sausages were so over cooked you couldn't even cut through them and the mash looked like it had been microwaved - wouldn't recommend it for a meal!
Good location but total chaos. One customer got the wrong food, when I was served the drinks were forgotten and another customer started to be served. The customers next to us were given main courses before starters and were told sorry we are busy. Whilst eating we were asked more than once if we had finished when Two of us had food on the plate fork in hand with food on the fork. Faulty towers comes to mind.
Amazing view! Nice staff. Bad food. A Ceasarsalad with egg and no parmesancheese. Tasteless. The burger (the first on the menu, don't remember the name) looked and tasted like a deepfrozen piece of meat you buy in the store, machinemade and not pure beef. Dry thin chips and a dipsauce with unknown taste that didn't go with the burger.
incompetent staff who ignore waiting customers.over crowded and hot!
