Well worth a visit

User

Lovely walk round calling at the Apple Tree for lunch and coffee.fab place enjoyed.

User

Lovely place to mooch around, good selection of shops, love the butchers and deli, some great treats. Great to sit and enjoy a drink whilst watching the boats.

User

Had a lovely breakfast as recommended by nurse at Queens hospital Burton, and it lived up to its reputation, at cafe next to marina office, good customer service and clean and tidy. A lovely boat community vibe, I will definitely be coming back. To reside there f I can. .

User

Despite the weather snow and blustery, the apple tree coffee shop was lovely for a drink with a view. Little clothes boutique selling White stuff, joules and sea salt clothing worth a visit, also the gallery is worth a visit some lovely paintings.

User

Beautiful place plenty to see and stopped in the cafe for a full english

User

Always enjoy it here and my hot chocolate wifh Bailey's and marshmallows at the Waterfront was delicious. The Appletree Coffee Shop and the Cinema Cafe are all fab and the shops are great too. Disappointed yesterday as thought the Christmas fayre was very poor. Very few uninteresting stalls and didn't feel one bit christmassy. However walking into the Watetftont was a different story. We were greeted by an enormous very pretty christmas tree and lovely tssteful decorations around the bar and dining area. Gorgeous welcoming log fire too. Very cosy.

User

Absolutely lovely place, fabulous Waterfront pub, try the stone oven Pizzas there, amazing. Great little shops & boutiques, cinema & Thai restaurant. Great place to spend a day out, lovely walks round the lake & into the village.Weve since bought a riverboat here as it's a real hidden gem of a place.

User

we went to Barton Marina on mother's day, we went with my daughter's and grandson who's only 16 months old, we were hoping to go for a meal at The waterfront but was disappointed to find under 5s are not allowed, I think if they catered for all ages then the place would have been very busy, as it was , it was quite empty as we walked past, they need to change their policy if the want more customers, put a bit of a damper on our plans for the day to be honest, i shall go somewhere else next time

User

We often walk our dog around the lakes which are well maintained - the shops are good quality the Apple Tree Cafe is very good lovely coffee and cake and food - nice to sit outside ( quite difficult to get a seat on a sunny day ) the Waterfront Pub is good again nice sheltered area on the not so good days to sit and eat with our dog.

User

Nice place surprised there wasn't

More shops things where not cheap. The waterfront pub was very nice again bottle of cider & a medium white wine £10. But it's worth a look if your a boatman. Anyway back there next Fri for a birthday meal.

User

It is a great place to have a walk meet my dog chums and take a poo. Also my owner can take me in the cinema for a coffee.

User

I go quite often walk round the lakes, then a good cup of tea at the mariner office cafe.

Lovely little garden to sit out in. I won't go to the pub since it stopped children going in. And the other cafes/ tea rooms are far to expensive and the butchers shop what a laugh there prices are 👎👎👎

User

Always nice to pop in for an hour or so! One person was very attentive today as our food was a little slow to arrive, he did a great job thanks Gareth for your brilliant customer service!

User

Sad to see that the pub on the end no longer allows children in!!! We visited regularly when my son was a baby and it was sad to be turned away shame as the place was practically empty and we were looking to buy hot meals for 4 adults and a toddler so a bit of money lost there by them! However had a lovely cake and tea in the Apple Tree and the service was great.

User

Really unimpressed that today myself and three other mums with pushchairs, wanting somewhere for a chat and some lunch, were turned away from the Red Carpet Cinema. There were empty tables and space for our pushchairs but according to the waitress there were ‘only two people on so we can’t cater for you today’. Slightly gobsmacked that a restaurant was actually turning away business despite not being full we went to the Appletree Coffee Shop. There we had a lovely relaxed lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food, drink and service!

User

Lovely place but my low score is for the restaurant (apple tree) the tea was like dishwater the hot chocolate was not drinkable and my panini was luke warm. Very disappointed that we were not asked how our food was and as a result it has put us off. We will not visit the apple tree again it was awful food

User

Loved the actual place but rather unhappy that the pub there doesn't let children under 5 in. (The pub was pretty empty, except a man drinking who also agreed that it's a silly rule) We met up with my sister in law who lives in Birmingham, as a half way point for a nice Sunday lunch. We ended up having to go to the cafe and had a jacket potatoe which was very nice but still a little disappointing as we were wanting Sunday lunch.

User

First visit after looking at it on both google and Facebook...not sure what I was expecting but felt slightly disappointed with the amount or should I say lack of shops...we have Trentham Gardens & Shopping Village near to us which is a great day out and I think I was expecting a smaller version of this definitely pictures on website and Facebook make it out to be bigger...the pub was lovely but don’t get the no children policy as the area is promoted as family friendly and we all know families spend money...all in all not a bad visit thou wouldn’t say it’s a full day out but a nice way to spend a couple of hours, will visit again and now know it’s dog friendly will bring the pooch too
