cannot thank the team here enough, putting together my dream day in 5 weeks. Tina called me after my panic email, because of a problem with another venue she was amazing, calmed me down and said she and her team could help. And they did we had an amazing day. The staff could not have done enough for us, we were made to feel special and were well looked after, as were our guests. Would recommend anyone thinking of getting married to put this hotel at the top of your list.

User

We were only there for the day to celebrate my daughter and son-in-law Renee their wedding vows and celebrate his 40th birthday. We had a lovely day, the free car park was a very welcome bonus. The staff were very warm and friendly and gave excellent service. We had a nice 3 course meal , only issue was it was a bit heavy on the garlic. Apartment from that it was all good.

User

Lovely warm welcome and free parking too.

Have personally never stayed at a best western before but i will again.

Lots of choice for breakfast and was nice to be able to stay im my room until 11:30am rather than rushing off after breakfast.

User

Lovely hotel, staff very pleasant. Room perfect size, comfy bed & biscuits were spot on! Food in the restaurant was lovely, not sure why it's not busier, as couldn't fault any of the three courses! Maybe need to advertise the restaurant more? Never saw anywhere that advised how much breakfast would be & neither did check in staff tell us if it was an option we could add on, so that would be my only bad point, as we may have had breakfast if we'd had known how much & what time it was available to & from. Overall fab hotel & would definitely stay again

User

Great location, rooms spotless and comfortable, lovely food and the staff were super friendly.

User

Best western hotel 5 minutes walk from train station . Staff really friendly , room spotless , tea making facilies , hair drier, the bed was so huge and comfy. Breakfast set us for the day , full English breakfast cooked to perfection , toast , cereal fruit, juice tea and coffee. Nice bar with helpful staff. We will be staying there again.

User

Another great stay at the stuart staff always friendly and helpful , room big clean and comfortable free upgrade and thank you for the note left wishing us a happy anniversary , had a meal in the restaurant Friday night it was lovely , breakfast cooked to perfection . Can’t wait to go back again .

User

A good business location. Close to the railway station and the Brunswick Arms at the end of the railway cottages; the best real ales and a huge variety. Four or five curry restaurants are also close which is a nice way to end the day.

My single room was fine, clean and warm. The breakers was not cheap but a fab start to the day. I must’ve been to the Stuart many dozens of times over 20 years and that may be the last time as a slower mode of life is ahead.

Well done staff and thanks for looking after me xxx

User

We went for our anniversary treat also to do some Xmas shopping as 5 mins walk to town centre.

Warm welcome on arrival bonus having car park .

Room smallish would of liked a table and chair rather than sitting in bed .the bed was the comfyest we.v ever slept on and big ..cleaning not the best few hairs in bath and on the towels. used ear bud on bath but everywhere else ok .

We booked in for breakfast & evening meal ..

Breakfast fantastic everything you could want &staff very efficient and friendly .

Evening meal very nice but could do with table clothes on tables also we were all packed to front end of resturant would of liked to be further away from entrance for privacy .

For some reason out clean towels where outside our door after we.d been out shopping all day .so we didn't get any milk or re plenshment of coffee so had to get some at 10.30 pm ..

Overall I would go back as very central and comfy bed wat more do you need ..

User

We booked through wowcher, so good value for Money including breakfast and wine on arrival. Our room was fine, except there was a party in the building behind with loud music, but didn't bother us. Really close to the intu shopping centre and lots of nice restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice, even for a vegetarian. Free parking and WiFi, Definitely stay again with a wowcher offer.

User

Lovely, amazing, wonderful. It was my first experience away for the weekend with my boyfriend and we had such an amazing weekend, we only had the room but it was so close to everything so we ate out, there was absolutely no problem apart from our room key wouldn't work and we had to keep going up and down 3 flights of stairs to reception and they couldn't get it to work but other than that great!

User

It was all very good, lovely restaurant for dinner last night, 'accessibility' bathroom, very clean BUT the bed was awful. Not wide enough and rock-hard. Very helpful people there.

User

I don't care about star ratings I'll make my own mind up, very nice on arrival, lovely evening meal, nice room very clean bathroom, and the breakfast was fab, everyone asked if I was OK and needed anything, just all round good service id'e defo stay again, thanks Paul,

User

The hotel is not bad, it is looking tied. I stayed three nights, the first night went down to dinner ordered my meal but had to wait about an hour, the second night I waited about fourty five minutes, if it had been busy I wouldn't have minded as much but there was four people in the restaurant. The rooms are okay. Only stayed at this hotel as the company had sent me on business.

User

On arrival things seemed ok. Room clean but bin hadnt been emptied from previos occupier and there was used soap left in bathroom. Very hot in room and a little claustrophobic. Breakfast was really nice although the tables were not all fully laid. On returning from a day out 5pm there was still lots of washing scattered about the corridor and although the bed had been straightened the bin had still not been emptied nor the tea /milk/coffee replaced. (Maybe you only get it on arrival but it isnt practice normally associated with hotels)

Would i stay again. Probably not.

User

Excellent staff (Jack!) who can't do enough to help. Nice enough venue for training seminar, but seriously let down by food that was mediocre at best, expensive (£12 for a hot dog with fries), took almost an hour to arrive (only two plates ordered), and the chilli hot dog was tepid.

Venue - Good

Staff - Excellent

Food - Disappointing & expensive

User

We were disappointed as restauant was full and the menu states food available in liquid bar. We enquired at bar abpyt ordering food and states not taking food orders. It was only 7pm! Noisy outside room with was ok as I know there was a coach party in. when we came down for breakfast just after 8 to find no tables available and serve yourself breakfast. I believe we had paid extra for our room so a table would be available for breakfast. So we had no breakfast as we hadn't got time to wait for a table! Room was ok but very noisy bed and room was not really what you would expect for an upgrade! I have stoped in sister hotels and had a lovely experience so very disappointed!!

User

The extractor the in bathroom was on for a while, I called reception & told them after 1am as I had come in from a party . I was told it would be looked at in a little while. No one ever came & the vent kept humming all night which disturbed my sleep. There was a smell of fresh paint which caused me to get a headache. When I spoke to the manager in the morning he apologised & offered me complimentary breakfast which I accepted. The breakfast wasnt all that as it may have been sitting a while, the veg sausage tasted like cardboard. I guess for the price you get what you pay for but it could have been better. I was exhausted driving back to brum.

User

On arrival, there was smashed glass all in the car park as if someone's car had been broken into previously which was unnerving. The room was clean and bathroom nice but the bed and pillows where not very comfortable. Evening meal in the restaurant was nice... I had chicken Kiev which was a little pink in places but on the whole nice. Breakfast was lovely.
