We were late for our booked table which made timing tight for our theatre start time. No matter. Despite being packed, the staff were first class and the good was wonderful. I’m not surprised the restaurant was packed!!!!

Visited last night with friends and it was a great experience. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive, the food was beautiful. This is the first time visiting the Leicester restaurant as we have usually go to the Plymouth one whilst visiting friends. We would definitely go back.

User

Very good menu choice and excellent price for lunch - £11.95 for two courses or £13.95 for three. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was delicious. A all round good experience.

Popped in without booking and had a lovely meal. Our starters were very nice. I had the fish and was lovely, my husbands steak was a little chewy but he said the flavour was there, personally I think it can be luck of the draw with steak 🥩. Will definitely return, oh and yes our Kir Royals were very nice!

Lunch before going to the theatre, very nice one of my favourite places, staff are very attentive and a very nice place to eat with friends

User

Lovely food, a good choice on the menu, nice ambience and friendly service

Loved the revamp! And had a great post Christmas meal with my friend. Service was very friendly & fast, & the food as good as always. I started with with the tomato & roasted pepper soup which delicious, followed by the smoked haddock & egg...wonderful!

User

First time back after the revamp absolutely love it! Service was great attentive but not intrusive. I down loaded the app which ment I had enough points for 2 glasses of house wine for free. My mum and I both had the early bird set menu we had pate and salad followed by haddock and pork all the dishes were perfectly cooked hot and delicious the side veggies were equally as yummy with perfectly cooked veg and crispy peppery roasted new potatoes. The pork melted in the mouth and the haddock was cooked to perfection. The house wine was fresh tasting and a lovely accompaniment to our meal. £30 for 2 people inc tip. Can't moan at that value for such a high quality meal. Already planning our next visit!

User

Excellent food and good value for money. Can sometimes be rather noisy as tables are quite close together.

User

As always a warm atmosphere and wonderful service. Could not fault the food and tried all four mains! Absolutely love eating here - it’s great value for money and the food is always a bit different to the run of the mill restaurant for the same price. Plus! The loyalty card is a great idea!

User

We 've always liked it here and the food/service has been great but feel that the tables are now too close together, seems u try to cram to many people in! I don't want to hear what other people talk about and vice versa....we may as well have been on a table of 4 it was that close. Shame to ruin an good meal.

User

Very impressed on our first visit. Can't wait to go again - excellent and varied menu, reasonably priced lunch menu, can't fault the service . Love the layout of the restaurant .

User

The food is very good and the menu is varied with a great selection. I frequently use the prix fixe menu before going to the theatre. I would highly recommend it. The service is good and you are not rushed but left to enjoy your meal.

User

Food was yummy good value for money

Friendly and accommodating staff - will be returning again soon

Only thing I was gutted about they had no chocolate brownie left :-(

User

Unusually not the best experience, we typically really enjoy both food and service here but my partners birthday meal was rather taken over by a very unruly bunch of Rugby supporters whose noise level was oppresive and intrusive. Service was ok but felt that the waiting staff were spending so much time trying to appease and contain the large noisy bunch and other diners experience really suffered as a result, Hooters have been a more appropriate place for the rugby lads! food was good on the whole but birthday boys steak n frites was very underwhelming so not the best bday treat 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

It has recently had a revamp and it is very nice inside. The service was a little slow. My boyfriend had steak and seemed happy with it, but I had chicken with lentilles and it was a tough breast that appeared on my plate. It felt like it had been cooked some time earlier but kept a bit too warm. It was ok, the veg were nice. I think that we would have been happier in a cosy nook, it is a bit of a squeeze of tables in there, you don't have much in the way of privacy.

User

Pretty disappointing. Waited ages for our drink order, a Gin and Tonic which they drowned in a bucket sized glass. The waitress was very understanding when I suggested just to bring the gin, with the tonic not poured in already. The starter was fine, tasted good although minimal mussels. The chicken was ‘roasted’ but the texture was grim and so I consoled myself with their matchstick version of French fries. The staff were pleasant but not overly friendly or asked about the meal when we finished. Glad to leave and make a coffee at home.

User

Good they have opened for breakfast yet the glasses on the table were so dirty and with greasy fingerprints that you couldnt see through. A waitress when asked if something was wrong with them claimed that the glases were fine, when glasses put against the light she said that they are little discoloured 😂 food was ok it is difficult to go bad on a salmon and dill omlet. Oh right... They didn't put any dill in it 😂 Dissapointed this time

User

Booked a table for 6 for my sons graduation the restaurant is nicely decorated & very clean but the food whilst not awful is very disappointing considering the prices
