Visited yesterday for Sunday lunch. The food was so tasty, served on a platter and plenty of it. Two of us had the spiced egg for starter and lamb for main and one had just a main course of sirloin. A recommended lager, three glasses of wine all for ┬Ż58.

Service was very friendly.

Well done. Will have to visit again soon.

Visited yesterday with my partner and my friend and her husband. Amazing food and such a good price. I had the cod, loved the flavours it came with and the other 3 had Sunday roast, there was plenty of meat and vegetables for all 3. We then went downstairs to listen to the live music. Ended up staying until the end of the evening. A different way to spend our Sundays and will definately go again.

Top Sunday lunch, nothing pre processed, thoroughly recommend. Best Sunday dinner in the city and marvellous singing staff with live music. When your venue is used for the X Factor each year the standard has to be high.

Our second visit. We came here once before , again for the early bird menu. Really nice bar downstairs with soft seating and great gin/rum/beer/vodka fights to choose from. The restaurant is upstairs and a decent choice on the early bird menu. Service is very good too. I think we'll be back for 3rd visit. Oh and if you take your restaurant receipt back downstairs you get 10% off your bar tab. Certainly a great place to go early if you're of out to a show or cinema later as we were.

Live music downstairs on Sunday afternoon is worth a visit great cocktails!

I've never been to your restaurant but I just wanted to try and level out the reviews left by vegans who can't seem to let go of a grudge... Im literally disgusted people can be so cruel because of a slip of a tongue in an argument. Only a small group of vegans are like that and unfortunately they tend to ruin it for the rest of us.

I came on Thursday night with my friend for the Halloween Tasting menu. The only thing I can say about the food was WOW! Every course was absolutely amazing, full of beautiful flavours and the presentation was fantastic. My friend and I loved the pumpkin soup served in a mini pumpkin! Needless to say we were completely stuffed at the end of the meal but didn't want to leave any of it, as it was so delicious.

The staff were great and very attentive, friendly and welcoming.

I will be coming again, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone thinking of trying it out.

Had to re visit this place after a lovely Sunday lunch a few months ago and again was impressed !! we opted for the 3 course to include a free bottle of wine !! we both had the soup to start which was roasted veg and then shared a platter with beef and lamb with all the trimmings which was delicious and rounded it all off with the sorbets and ice cream...we will be back and that says it all and at ┬Ż35 all in we think its excellent value !! Shorty deserves a mention who looked after us well....5*

Had a great meal here using some Xmas gift vouchers we received. Will definitely go again. Well sized portions, good quality ingredients and most importantly tasty.

Only thing to improve on was the restaurant was a little cold due to low temperature.

Had a beautiful meal from the early menu. Chateaubriand was beautiful and cooked to perfection... you ask for rear, you get it! After three courses, the meal was finished off with a complimentary glass of fizz, in celebration of our anniversary. All in all, a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price. Thank you for having us! We shall return for our next occasion. ’┐Į

Came for belated Mother's Day Sunday lunch,3 courses 2 drinks endless water and a bottle of wine for ┬Ż40 !!! You can't go wrong.Food was absolutely fantastic and cooked to a very high standard.Staff were very pleasant and attended to your every need. Couldn't fault it will definitely be returning soon thank you.’┐Į

Quaint place with polite attentive staff. Chips with skins on! Would rather have mine fully pealed next time please ­¤śē. Pepper corn sauce was sweet, so was a little surprise. The food tasted nice, it was hot and cooked well.

The pudding was lovely. Rice pudding balls, needed a bit more jam and spice.

Cocktails were amazing but I didn't have a full one ­¤Öł Just water.

Good service with friendly staff. Interesting choices on the menu and full of flavour. The deep fried egg was very tasty as well as the Fish Thai chowder. Nice atmosphere as not too big or noisy so great for more intimate or smaller groups.

We came for our works Christmas meal on Friday. The food was good but we were put in a room in the loft on our own with one long table in and zero atmosphere! There was a CD player in the corner on the floor, it felt like we were in someone's house! Not what we were looking for on our Christmas night out!

The service was extremely slow, there was no butter for rolls, paper napkins, not what I would expect from a restaurant of this standard. Overall very disappointing!

It was a lovely roast beef lunch served on platter. They give you a separate plate to eat from, they are far too small. ItŌĆÖs like a buffet plate. I think you should get a full size dinner plate. The service was good.

Excellent Sunday offer for the three courses. Starter of Arancini Caesar balls were fab.



There were three of us dining & we wanted to try all the meats. Good news as the lunch came out on a sharing board with all the trimmings, so we could try all the meats.



Not enough cauliflower cheese, red cabbage or gravy between three of us, however when I asked more was provided which was great. Always better to have more than less on these items.



Dessert was the 'Del Boy' & it really was the best choice. So tasty & the burnt pineapple was a great twist on the tongue.



The only downsides were. A finger nail in the salt pot, I think these should be swapped for grinders, or a smaller dish and changed for each table rather than passing around from table to table, to stop this happening again.



The above was rectified with a round of desserts for the price of two courses. Which I asked for. Perhaps it could have been offered over me asking?



Service wise I felt like I was constantly asking for something rather than the waiters checking that we had everything we needed.....



All in all the atmosphere was great and our party changed from two to three and they accommodated us all.



Good Value for money.
