What shall we call this boy? ūüźĺ As you can see our little friend in Romania is much more relaxed now and happy to be out of the kill shelter. Thanks to your enormous generosity he can now be operated on to remove his tumours, starting with the one on his neck. As you lovely lot have raised ¬£100 so far, we‚Äôve been asked to give this little lad a name, as the poor old fella doesn‚Äôt have one ūüėĘ So suggestions please! xxx

And just a little heads up, it‚Äôs our own Tommydad‚Äôs 71st birthday today and he‚Äôll be working his butt off in Blondes! So if you feel like ūüéĶ singing happy birthday ūüéā to him we‚Äôre sure he‚Äôd love it! And we‚Äôre treating him to Roast Breakfast! See you all later. You all know how much we love dogs at Blondes, and have links to some very special rescuers in Romania? This particular boy has stolen our hearts. He‚Äôs a 13 year old male cocker spaniel who was dumped in the kill shelter with 3 large tumours. No animal should ever be treated like this. If he wasn‚Äôt taken out of the kill shelter he would be left to suffer and die alone. Thanks to some very special ladies in both the UK and Romania, this boy is now out of the kill shelter and ...in a safe rescue. He needs lots of help and surgery, as he is struggling to eat due to the tumour around his neck. But he can be helped and with some TLC can find a loving home to live out his twilight years. All of the tips we have received this month in Blondes will be going to help this boy. If anyone would like to donate today, at our Vegan Sunday Roast day, we will make sure the donations go directly to his vet care and surgery. Every animal deserves a chance. You might not be able to change the life of every animal, but for this one, we hope his life will be changed forever ‚̧ԳŹūüźĺ xxx Thank you xxx

We have no words to express our heartache at hearing the news that our great friend Paul has passed away today. I'm sure all Blondes regulars will know Paul as Buster's dad, and as a wonderful fun-loving man, who was always up for a natter or a political debate! We will miss him so much, he really was part of the furniture at Blondes and we will treasure all our happy memories xxx Our thoughts and love are with Tina, Matthew, Emma, Buster and all the family at this incredibly sad time. He was a very special friend and will be missed by so many xxx

We have left plenty of spaces for walkins throughout the day, and we are doing the menu to takeaway, so nobody should be disappointed ūüėä. And if you want to start the day with a big vegan breakfast you know where to come first! And then Sunday is the Cottingham Food and Drink Festival. And we will be OPEN! A fabulous day of stalls and celebration around Cottingham. What a gorgeous little cafe! I am from South Africa visiting family in Hull and couldn't wait to visit Blondes. I wasn't disappointed! The food was divine, the staff friendly and the shop stocked with amazing goodies for sale! I am going to miss this place so much when I return home ÔŅĹ

We visited on Bank Holiday Monday for the doggy tea party. They were very busy (which was great) and they handled it really well! We enjoyed our lunch and I thought the 'pulled pork' was very tasty and convincing taste wise!

Also enjoyed my pink latte and biscotti bake! ÔŅĹ

Love that it is dog friendly and always lots of options available! ÔŅĹ

Was first time visiting,been wanting to go for ages and wasn’t disappointed.lovely place, staf was ran off their feet they never stopped.but still very nice.was very busy with the doggy tea party and lovely to see. I had the beetroot burger it was gorgeous.will definitely be going again.

Travelled 60 miles to visit this place and it was well worth it. Gorgeous food and drinks and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I brought some goodies home for myself and my neighbour, who is also vegan, to enjoy the following day.

Second time I've been today and really enjoyed it. There's a relaxed and friendly atmosphere even if it's busy and they somehow manage it without compromising service or quality. They also don't make a big fuss or panic when I ask for gluten free - they simply replace the bits I can't have with something I can have. And it's always really nice food regardless! Looking forward to my next visit :)

I visited Blondes for the first time after a couple of recommendations and I was so impressed. It is such a friendly, warm, welcoming, gorgeous wee cafe, dogs here and there, people so chatty, happy and fabulous, staff super helpful. Oh and gorgeous, amazing food of course!! Being a Vegan it's just so refreshing to 'not' have to look at a menu and think ok so what 1 or 2 things (if I'm lucky) can I eat here! I ‚̧ԳŹloved it all - thank you ūüíúXxx

I love this place and everything it stands for ÔŅĹ I've just been to the first curry night and it was delicious! The curry and onion bhajis were superb ... so tasty and authentic. Thanks to all the hardworking staff ÔŅĹ Can't wait for the next one! See you soon. Xx

Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Gorgeous vegan food. Clean, lovely chic decor. I had the not dog with Mac n cheese and bacon bits with tortilla chips and coleslaw (all plant based) fast service and delicious food. Highly recommended.

First milkshake since becoming dairy free...oh my...when Harry met Sally anyone!?! Food was so tasty, and the cafe itself is really sweet, staff were very friendly and I got treats to bring home too! I'll be back!! So nice to have an experience of going out to eat where you don't feel like you're being awkward and you can eat everything on the menu!!!

Blondes is our favourite vegan cafe. Very lovely and friendly staff. All the food is yummy and desserts to die for! Breastfeeding friendly too ÔŅĹ

Ate here for the first time today. Sat in the new room upstairs which is really pretty & airy. Food is delicious had the chicken burger very juicy. Will definitely be back for more. ÔŅĹ

Had the cheese and tuna melt which was so much like tuna! We also got a dog cupcake, chicken pasty, 2 different rocky roads and lots of goodies like mayo and cheese sauce to take home! Can’t wait to visit again the rocky roads are the best I’ve ever had!!!

Amazing place, amazing food and totes amazing staff. Had a lovely meal (plus chai latte) couldn't decide between the vegan tuna / cheese melt or the not pulled pork panninni ) luckily for me the small decided and then swapped half way through so I got best of both worlds ÔŅĹ we bought a fair few treats between us to take home. Don't know whether I am proud or embarrassed to admit that I have just scoffed the lot! Those scotch eggless are (like the staff told me) pure magic ÔŅĹ the chicken pie (I have literally Had a scrap over in my own kitchen ) is ..... well make up your own mind. The puddings ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ I don't even have a sweet tooth (more of a pie girl) went down a bit too well as the recipitents wanted to lick the paper! Thanks for supplying the vegan halloumii... can't wait for breakfast tomorrow! Even if I don't like it much then oh my days.... that gouda ÔŅĹ yessss a pack has gone ÔŅĹ see Blondes... you are awesome xxxxxxxxxxxx
