We have just returned from our Monday to Friday break at Haven Blue Dolphin. I really don't understand all the negative reviews on here. The weather wasn't great. It was very foggy/ misty but our days were filled with activities on the park (a lot of them free.) Our son is 5 years old. He loved the pool, he took part in the musikids show which he loved. He did Mini Archery, Mini Fencing. Paddlers. We had a game of bowling. We ate in the restaurant. We shopped in the Mini Market. We didn't feel that anything was overpriced apart from the Pizza from Papa John's (although it was good) it was a bit steep. As for the staff. I have seen people's comments saying the staff were miserable? Again, not our experience. From the cleaners who made sure our caravan was spotless (it was) to the bar staff, retail staff, life guards, activity staff and special mention to the ents staff. The PA in the venue was nicely mixed and it was nice to see the Ents Manager being around to check levels for each show. We really enjoyed the Visiting shows too. If anything....We have left the park feeling exhausted..and there is still lots of things that we didn't do which we look forward to doing when we return. Exhausted from making memories. Thank you Haven Blue Dolphin x

We booked our little break via the sun holidays but upgraded to the Prestige caravan. It was a fantastic caravan with modern interior and even had a dishwasher!!! It was very spacious and the area we were situated was perfect. (Hill Top) We were just a 2 minute walk from the main area but it was also very peaceful. The indoor soft play area was the only thing to let it down really. It was quite scruffy and both soap dispensers in the ladies toilets were broken and empty and there were no towels or hand dryers in there. The main soft play area also smelt strongly of stale urine. I think it could benefit from being updated/renovated. Overall we were very happy with our holiday and would consider returning.

Just came back from blue dolphin loved it. The park was lovely and clean and the caravan was lovely, with it being a standard caravan I wasn't expecting much but it was fab and had central heating in so very comfortable on cold nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went put of their way to make us welcome. The food at the brigghouse was lovely especially the curry and carvery. Will recommend this park to anyone

We have just a week with you and we only have one moan about the football bit near the caravans. We had to ring security 4 nights to stop them playing . We have young daughter who is in bed by 9.30 ish . Still at 10pm ball in belted at the wood goes right through caravan . One night 10.30 got kids running around caravan from the football. You need to put a kerfur on say 10pm to stop balls games . Otherwise a great holiday.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Smooth check in and really helpful as I’ve never booked before. Such a shame that other guests can’t be bothered to use bins or take their rubbish away from the bars with them. Staff were lovely and friendly, enjoyed chatting to the ones we did and those entertaining children were fabulous. Well done everyone! Time to kick other guests butts for cleanliness though. I will add that the pool changing rooms are disgusting!!! Probably the worst I think I’ve ever seen. .

Just back from a long weekend, we have been a couple of times before so knew what to expect from the facilities. We were a little disappointed with check in this time, it has been moved to ‘pick and paint’ and that was a bit of a disaster. The WiFi was down so staff were struggling to get people checked in so had to wait outside in a queue with a 1 and 4 year old. It was really cold so they weren’t very happy! Also we had prebooked a cot which wasn’t in caravan, it didn’t end up arriving till just after 7pm and my little boy was shattered by then. Once checked in we had a great time, kids loved the entertainment and great access to Filey and Scarborough beach. Am sure we will be back again.

Think the park in general needs maintenence work doing, leaking gutters blocked by a tshirt on the sports complex, rubbish dumped randomly, staff just drove over it on golf buggy, toilets all hooks broken, screws missing out of door panels, toilet roll holders broken or empty, and the worst part is the out of control kids in the arcades, sitting on pool tables, air hockey machines, not family friendly, need regular security checks to move them on.

And last the worst experience is reception and the bar, loads of staff not one helping anyone, standing around forever, priority serve customers first then faff around. Come on haven you can do better than this, need a strong management team to kick it up to speed urgently !!!!!!

I book a year in advance for this holiday for 7 days. We all had a lovely week couldn't fault it in any other way. Then the weekend came where we wasn't informed that they was a football event on. We had to wait over an hour for swimming. No parking. Also was children playing on the park that was 11 year plus so that ment my daugher couldn't play as they was shouting and swearing. Also my daughter fell off her chair in the caravan where the seat came off when I went to push her in I rang recpetion up to let them know and all I got was it will be fixed for the next family, didn't even ask how my 2 half year old was.

Other than the weekend it was lovely. X

Clean and modern caravan with easy check in. Friendly staff everywhere and great service in The Brigghouse and Galaxy Bar but the Games Room (which is separated from the Brigghouse by some kind of trellis/wall) needs remodelling as the old and tatty pool tables are too close to the wall (can't get a proper shot) and too close together when another game starts on the next table and too close to the change machines whoever uses them are in the way of your game - if you don't think so, then try having a game of pool and you'll see what I mean! Speaking of pools - the indoor pool seemed to be closed more than open. Entertainers don't seem to engage much with the holidaymakers in general but get on great with small children possibly due to their closeness in age.

Just got back yesterday from our wk at this caravan site the kids enjoyed the activities and the pottery shed, had a good time apart from having to clean my caravan myself when we arrived thick of dust someone else’s poo 💩 on the toilet bowl and seat lid, this was our 2nd time here, I will say avoid the outdoor pool as my 10yr old cut three of his toes on the steps reported it to reception when I handed my keys back the next morning but the girl didn’t seem to bothered didn’t even right my complaint down, I also think the bar food is a little bit pricey but was lovely food I will say that we all enjoyed our meal n share pudding £50 for 3 meals and a pudding is a little over board

From moment we got there I new wasn't going be the ideal break away staff who welcomed us really need get some coustomer service skills were quite rude we had previously called to be asked be placed with our family and we wasnt and wouldn't do anything about it toilet facilities weren't clean enough at all.wouldn't eat from fish shop at all 7 members who we went with all put them in bin was disgusting really wouldn't go camping here again at all not a patch on thornwick bay pitches are far too close together really shouldn't treat statics and campers different customer service should be your priority

Arrived after a 8 hour car journey with 3 children, man at reception was lovely. Caravan it’s self was less than desirable, dirty dishes left out. Sweets under the bed. Dirty plates and cups put back in the cupboard. The foul smell from the sink. We have stayed with haven a lot and this has to be the worst sight we have been on. It needs revamping and cleaned up. The soft play smells of urine and the toilets smell. We are are leaving a day early for that reason. We will not return to this park.

When walked in to caravan there was cans off lager from old tennents still there and all over floor and I have 2 kids running about. Toilet was dirty gas didint work. Fridge frozen all our food and kids food ruined. Draws broken hanging off. All the numbers they give for help no one answer till the next day. Shocking place. Still have days to go and want to go home already. Terrible. Waste off money and time.

We had an awful stay this week. Im aware that Haven cannot be held responsible for the weather but they can look at their tourer site. There is no proper drainage or roads. Its basically a field. We were upgraded to what they call a hard standing pitch but only because i asked when we checked in. This was a joke as its only a block of concreate in the grass with no gravel for your awning to go on. The complex is awful, the entertainment was poor and i have to admit the whole week was a washout and we left a day early. Very very dissapointed in the whole week. You need to do some serious work and invest heavily in your tourer pitches and until you do we will never be back or recomend your site to anyone.

This is bar far the worst touring park I’ve ever seen or stayed on. To describe it as pure hell on Earth would be putting it politely. 2 1/2hr journey with 2 small children we the spent the first part of our holiday solving the huge cock up Haven had made with our booking. We had booked 2 hard standing pitches with EHU and awning months prior to be told upon arrival they had given away our (paid for) pitches to others and there was no room on the park as it was full so we were given what I can only describe as a slab of uneven concrete on a grass verge by the busiest pathway through the park to the facilities. No awning space, not even space for our car, completely unsuitable and very unsafe- the whole park was in major disrepair!!!! We were told to either like it or lump it- it was beyond filthy, over run, strewn with rubbish and packed with feral adults/kids running amok. The management- (Stacey particularly) could not manage herself let alone this huge park- it was a shambles and embarrassing and we made a quick exit after 1 night fearing for our lives! I have been touring for 10yrs+ and this place needs bulldozing flat!! Avoid it at all costs and shame on you Haven.

I normally love a good caravan holiday but this was well under our expectations from start to finish!

We stayed over the weekend of 20th April-23rd April.

We arrived at our caravan, the van itself was spacious and nice to glance at, but when we got inside there were 2 used cups left on the side which I’m guessing were the so called cleaners who forgot to clean them after somewhat cleaning the van, the furniture was stained, there were toys and a shoe in the double bedroom & the dust around the van looked like this hadn’t been used for a while!

Anyway we got over that pretty quickly just cleaned it up ourselves, then we unpacked all our food into the fridge, the next morning the milk was off and the packets of chicken were blown amongst other things. So obviously that meant the fridge didn’t work, meaning we had to throw out about £50 worth of food, we did manage to rescue the ice cream in the freezer part as that was somehow still working!

The one good point on the site was the entertainment in the clubhouse and the choice of food around the site! The swimming pool was lovely too!

The worst thing about the stay which was the reason half of our party left early was the fact there was hundred upon hundreds of dance kids and mums, the less I say about them the better, we couldn’t enjoy the entertainment as much as should’ve, we should’ve been informed upon booking that there was a dance competition on that weekend and we’d have booked a different date!

I don’t normally review things but this was so bad!

Been here for the weekend, kids enjoyed it, 3 boys, massive football fans. We lan their life around footy! the brigghouse bar advertised he live football on show from the moment we arrived in Friday. 1:30 today Newcastle v Arsenal. Kick off 5 minutes ago, manager refuses to put it on because someone requested the wolves match. So far we have counted 11 different people request the advertised match, but the pig headed manager refuses to change the channel. Worst customer service received in a very long time.
