Well I can't believe this, two shoots on the trot!!! Due to the amount of drifting snow on the roads, drive and tracks on the shoot combined with the high winds making shooting in the woods questionable we have again been forced to cancel today's shoot. Sorry for any inconvenience, please spread the word.

We're all ready for Sunday's shoot. We might not use any white clays this week!!

SHOOT CANCELLED Unfortunately we have taken the decision to cancel this Sunday's shoot (Sunday 4th March) The icy conditions across the whole shooting ground along with the forecast of more to follow have meant it would be impossible to ensure everyone's safety. Please share this as far and wide as possible I don't want anyone to have a wasted trip. Free fishing on Sunday, bring an ice pick!!!... Next shoot, March 18th

good place for a walk in the country

a bit out in the sticks and quite a distance from the nearest main public bus route

really need a car to get here unless you fancy at least a miles walk

but nice place in rural SE Notts

Had a good days fishing today. It was nice fishing next to the woodland and peaceful - would really recommend and will definitely be going back ­¤¢Æ

Great fishing and shooting in such a beautiful setting and hosted by the best of people. Can't rate it enough for a top enjoyable day

First visit today, 100 bird sporting in stunning wood land, Very shooter friendly, staff very friendly, Clays not over hard, But testing, very very enjoyable. As you "Button" and score for your self, would suggest going with a friend or two.

First visit to Borders wood today and really impressed. Very friendly staff and great amenities along with an excellent set of stands and targets. Really enjoyed it and will definitely make it a regular place to visit.

First time clay shooting for a group of girls for a birthday today. Absolutely loved it! A very warm welcome on arrival with tea and bacon rolls in front of a roaring fire. Then out onto the shoot with a lovely team of experts. A lot of fun had by all, we will definitely be back. Might make it a yearly girls day out. Thanks Phil and the team! ’┐Į

Brilliant spot for a morning on the clays! Varying range of targets for all ability types, lovely staff and scenery in the woods and overlooking the fishing lakes. Sausage and egg cobs are also spot on! (if your feeling peckish) ­¤śŖ

Another testing but throughly enjoyable shoot today . I love this place coming into summer it comes alive ;) well presented targets that are regularly changed to keep you on your toes ;) I wish it was on more and I had more time. Many thanks to the borderswood team
