Brewers Fayre Gateway Park

Thank you to the staff who were working tonight, you did a great job of looking after our table of 24. From booking the table right through to the evening everyone has been fab and communication was brilliant. Loved that we didn't have to pay a deposit for the festive menu and that we weren't charged for no shows. If this system is the same next year we would definitely book our Christmas event with you again. The food was nice and great value at £13.79 for 3 courses. We had a brilliant time, thank you so much!

Thank you so much for our sons party today. His very first party (only 2) and it couldn’t have gone/been better. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and parents commented how good everything was. Thank you so much x

Not been here for food for a while but decided to give it a try today and so glad we did. Family of 5, 2 adults, teenager and 2 kids and we all agreed it was the best food we'd had out in a long while. Hubby and I had the steak and Doom Bar pudding and it was amazing, cheesy mash was a fantastic accompaniment and gravy was perfect. Teenager had a chicken burger and she said it was spot on and kids had sausage and mash and spaghetti bolognese which was finished in no time at all - always a good indication! Then we had desserts, I went for the strawberry pimms trifle, now anywhere that has trifle on its dessert menu is alright by me and this one didn't disappoint, great size portion of delicious juicy strawberries in pimms with sponge, creamy custody topped with cream and strawberries - perfect. Husband had salted caramel apple crumble and he said it was amazing, not sure about the teenagers profiteroles as she was just sort of purring ��� and the mini puds of brownies for one and doughnuts for the other seemed to disappear fairly quickly as well so don't think there were any complaints!! All in all, a really good meal, would highly recommend a visit and we intend to return soon!

We have been going to Gateway Park for quite a while now and love the food, prices, staff and play area. However on recent visits we have noticed that the chairs are extremely stained. I am disabled and like to transfer from my wheelchair to another chair but when I saw how dirty they are decided not to, we looked at several but none were suitable. We were sat in the near the play area so I realise that children use those chairs but we all felt they should be cleaned.

My family had a meal here for Mother's Day nothing wrong with the food but felt rushed as they had booked someone in after us and we were told this on arrival NOT when we booked 3 weeks beforehand if we knew we would have to hurry I would not have booked here and gone elsewhere I do not like getting rushed .

Good for kids to play but unfortunately the hot food isn't as good as it once was. Good to be able to have refillable drinks. Ice cream sundae nice.

Breakfast not bad,but windmill farm is better

7 of us went here on Sunday evening.... I ordered prawn cocktail for starters it came with bread no butter waiter said he'd get some ..none came if was half way through main course after asking again that it finally arrived . .food was ok but service total rubbish .. long pauses between courses .. carpet under table need cleaning of food....need to get their act together will not be returning

You stick to the furniture in the lounge, it’s disgusting. The chair arms are no longer cloth but thick with grease. It’s a very popular place, but they will not upgrade the furniture because they make so much money. This chain is known for upgrading quieter locations but will not improve the money making locations. Won’t be going back

Was looking forward all week to my birthday meal last night. Food was disappointing. Baked salmon overcooked, mash cold, veg wet and soggy not very warm. Sent Yorkshire pudding n sausages n mash back as cold. Not impressed Brewers Fayre, food definitely not cooked fresh. Disappointed birthday meal.

Had the Haddock goujons sandwich. Tasteless.

Went today with my 2 year old daughter and as much as the facilities there are ok and we used to love coming there, now it's just a dirty place. I even took some pictures (apparently can't upload them here) of the amount of rubbish (dirty cloths, plastic pieces of broken toys) and dust that you can see straight near where our children are running around playing. All this is behind the safety nets around the climbing frame but it looks absolutely disgusting and is easily reachable by a child. And if a child can reach it, so does the hoover! I don't know how the management of this place can sleep at night knowing they run a place FOR CHILDREN, sometimes even very young children, that has such a disgusting spots. Shame on you, it would take max an hour, even once a month, with a hoover to get rid of this. And the amount of sticky and horrible dust in there indicate it hasn't been cleaned for years!

We came on Saturday with my nieces aged 10 and 6 and my two children aged 4 and 2 and my grandparents. I only booked so the kids could play before and after our meals. My 10 year old niece was over the height limit to play yet there were full grown adults supervising children on the play area. She was trying to look after my 2 year old and was asked to go out. Staff were very rude. (Had this have been a birthday party booking I feel things would have been different). A member of staff then dropped and smashed a glass right outside the doors of the play area (I hope no-one managed to cut their feet on the shards that were swept off the carpet) seconds later another staff member dropped a plate with sauce on which went everywhere. Customers had no choice but to step over the mess that had been made. A wet floor sign should have been promptly put out. A few minutes later this was cleaned up with napkins. We ordered puddings for the children and my son's pudding didn't turn up so we had to re-order for him to finish his last. The meals themselves were ok....the service was rubbish. A very busy Saturday and only one person taking orders and getting drinks so there was a long wait to order. I shall not be rushing back.

Also the ladies toilets near the play area were dirty and stank of urine upon opening the door.

Pre booked table for 4, 1 week in advance, this changed so tried to call and alter booking on numerous occasions but just got message stating cannot answer phone right now!!! So went anyway but was 'greeted' by a bored receptionist who took ages to find our booking and spoke to us like it was a massive inconvenience. Upon telling her we had 2 extra people we were told that they could NOT possibly accommodate 2 extra people and either lose these 2 or eat elsewhere! (The 2 in question were our kids AND there were plenty of empty tables!!)Foul horrible service. General manager should review his staff! Went to gamekeeper over the road and had a great meal with wonderful service and FRIENDLY staff, imagine that!!!!

Left due to my child being kicked by an older child who didn't even pay to play in the area... Spoken to the staff and was told its not there responsibility what children do

I ordered my meal (new yorker burger with a side of onion rings) 2 mins after my friends, they recieved their meals within 15 minutes but they were barely warm. I didn't recieve my meal for 30 minutes! And it wasn't even busy. One of friends wanted some mayo to go on her meal but was not offered any condiments. When i eventually got my meal (after my friends had finished) it was near enough cold! The bun was burnt, the chips and onion rings were soggy, the lettuce and onions were dried out like they were atleast 2 days old! The food was of very poor standard and the coleslaw was not coleslaw at all, it was just a pile of shredded cabbage on a plate! No one apologised for the wait and no one came to see if we were happy with our meal as i most certainly would have complained. We watched as a waitress "cleaned" the table next to ours, by just pushing all the food with her cloth onto the floor and leave it there. There were stains all over the seats and carpet. A few weeks ago my Nan went for lunch here and had the steak and stout pie with the "cheese dumpling" in her words it was more like a stone. She couldn't cut the "dumpling" as it was so hard and her food was also cold! I most certainly will not be returning and i will make sure everyone i know does not go anywhere near.

All this is behind the safety nets around the climbing frame but it looks absolutely disgusting and is easily reachable by a child. And if a child can reach it, so does the hoover! I don't know how the management of this place can sleep at night knowing they run a place FOR CHILDREN, sometimes even very young children, that has such a disgusting spots. Shame on you, it would take max an hour, even once a month, with a hoover to get rid of this. And the amount of sticky and horrible dust in there indicate it hasn't been cleaned for years!

We came on Saturday with my nieces aged 10 and 6 and my two children aged 4 and 2 and my grandparents. I only booked so the kids could play before and after our meals. My 10 year old niece was over the height limit to play yet there were full grown adults supervising children on the play area. She was trying to look after my 2 year old and was asked to go out. Staff were very rude. (Had this have been a birthday party booking I feel things would have been different). A member of staff then dropped and smashed a glass right outside the doors of the play area (I hope no-one managed to cut their feet on the shards that were swept off the carpet) seconds later another staff member dropped a plate with sauce on which went everywhere. Customers had no choice but to step over the mess that had been made. A wet floor sign should have been promptly put out. A few minutes later this was cleaned up with napkins. We ordered puddings for the children and my son's pudding didn't turn up so we had to re-order for him to finish his last. The meals themselves were ok....the service was rubbish. A very busy Saturday and only one person taking orders and getting drinks so there was a long wait to order. I shall not be rushing back.

Also the ladies toilets near the play area were dirty and stank of urine upon opening the door.

Pre booked table for 4, 1 week in advance, this changed so tried to call and alter booking on numerous occasions but just got message stating cannot answer phone right now!!! So went anyway but was 'greeted' by a bored receptionist who took ages to find our booking and spoke to us like it was a massive inconvenience. Upon telling her we had 2 extra people we were told that they could NOT possibly accommodate 2 extra people and either lose these 2 or eat elsewhere! (The 2 in question were our kids AND there were plenty of empty tables!!)Foul horrible service. General manager should review his staff! Went to gamekeeper over the road and had a great meal with wonderful service and FRIENDLY staff, imagine that!!!!

Left due to my child being kicked by an older child who didn't even pay to play in the area... Spoken to the staff and was told its not there responsibility what children do

I'm disgusted by my visit to this establishment today. I came with 2 friends to enjoy a meal and that is far from what we got! I ordered my meal (new yorker burger with a side of onion rings) 2 mins after my friends, they recieved their meals within 15 minutes but they were barely warm. I didn't recieve my meal for 30 minutes! And it wasn't even busy. One of friends wanted some mayo to go on her meal but was not offered any condiments. When i eventually got my meal (after my friends had finished) it was near enough cold! The bun was burnt, the chips and onion rings were soggy, the lettuce and onions were dried out like they were atleast 2 days old! The food was of very poor standard and the coleslaw was not coleslaw at all, it was just a pile of shredded cabbage on a plate! No one apologised for the wait and no one came to see if we were happy with our meal as i most certainly would have complained. We watched as a waitress "cleaned" the table next to ours, by just pushing all the food with her cloth onto the floor and leave it there. There were stains all over the seats and carpet. A few weeks ago my Nan went for lunch here and had the steak and stout pie with the "cheese dumpling" in her words it was more like a stone. She couldn't cut the "dumpling" as it was so hard and her food was also cold! I most certainly will not be returning and i will make sure everyone i know does not go anywhere near.

Came here other day toilets horrible dirty. When told waitress.she said the cleaner does not come in till morning. Been manager of club you crack on and sorted don't wait till next day.Put us of our food we payed and left.
