Gift Department Assistant (part-time) A part-time position has arisen in our Gift department for 40 hours over a 2 week period with specific days to work in with our current rota and will include alternate weekends. There will be the requirement to work extra hours seasonally which must be taken into consideration when applying for the position. This is a very busy and diverse department needing an energetic person with a friendly personality, motivated to do the best for our customers while working closely with their team members. Enthusiasm and an interest in learning about the products will play a big part in deciding on the most suitable candidate. Excellence in proven sales ability is of paramount importance. The minimum of 3 years Sales experience in a busy mainstream retail position is essential, ideally with merchandise of a similar nature namely homewares and gift. Customer facing roles in any other sectors, including the hospitality industry will not be considered. Today's eco post is all about the pooches!

More eco swaps from our pets department!
Today we are featuring biodegrable products to help with your pet waste. Biodegradable Nature's Calling cat litter and earth rated dog poop bags are an excellent way to reduce the impact on the environment your pets have.

Arthur's Eatery are always striving to be as eco friendly as possible.
Recent changes include changing from plastic water bottles to glass, we also have tap water available for customers to help themselves to. Last year we introduced plastic free biodegradable take out cups and paper straws. Our waste company recycle every bit of our waste from Arthur's Eatery (and the rest of the Brookfields site) that they can.
Our most recent change has come from a change in our coffee supplier, Stewarts of Trent Bridge deliver our coffee in a tin, the tin goes back and forth so is reused and no plastic packaging is used for the coffee used by the baristas; it tastes great too!

We will be continuing our eco swaps posts this week, today we are looking at bird feeders, these are 2 examples of recycled plastic being used for feeders, they are also recyclable again once they have served your garden and your local birds well 😊

These biodegradable Vi Pots are an excellent non plastic alternative for potting on plants, made from natural plant fibre obtained from waste of annual crops such as rice husks.
Life expectancy of these is 5 years but they are biodegradable within 9-18 month if broken down and put into waste.

Carrying on our eco-swaps journey, our outdoor plants team have been working hard to make changes with the plastic pots that our plants are sold in. The pack bedding now comes in recyclable plastic packs. We are working towards more of our pot bedding plant pots to be recyclable too.
We are happy to take in any plant pots for recycling, our waste company are excellent at recycling as much as they possibly can.
