Good Evening One and All
Just a quick email to let you all know what is happening at the Club on Saturday 13th of July at 7.30pm door open we are having a Presentation Night for the 100 meter outdoor shooters - All are Welcome to come and join in. We are looking to have a buffet with the presentation of medals for the first three with the highest scores.
... They are as follows: 1st - Dave Murfin with 297 out of 300 2nd - Jim Bailey with 288 3rd - Phil Penson with 283 4th - Bob Barr with 274 5th - Steve Bagshaw with 271 6th - Robert Barber with 262 7th - Colin Jones with 253
There were others who entered but did not complete the minimum of 1 competition target per a month (ideally we are looking for 2 targets per month to get a true average score)
So we have started our second half year competition July to December for those of you who would to take part (I should like to see more this next time taking part) It does not cost a lot to take part only £2.50 which covers the costs of Targets, Medals and the buffet and at the end of year. (I don't charge for the time in which I put into this to keep it going) We put this on so you have a little of a challenge in your shooting and not just plinking at a target week in week out?
This time we are changing it a little so that there are three leagues 1st League Shooter are those who's average scores are between 280 and 300 2nd League Shooter are those who's average scores are between 250 and 279 3rd League Shooter are those who's average scores are below 249 so this where first timers / beginners will start.
If half way through the shooting season we find out that competitor is doing better than we thought we will be placed in a higher League to suit their shooting ability which will give the other a fair chance that league.
Don't forget for those of you who don't a rifle but would like to take part the club does have 2 full bore target rifle with scopes and moderator for you - one is a 223 Remmington and the other is 308 Winchester. You can also use 22 Rimfire if that what you like to shoot too. If you are from away out of the area like the Nottingham area member who come and shoot once in a while and would like to take part you can and you can do so please ask Margaret or Doug for the Competition Targets. More the better.
If you have further question please either reply to this email or spoke to Doug or Margaret
I hope this is alright for you and I look forward to you all and having a drink to the winners
all the best
